Not getting called up
-
Are you in AA or AAA? I was the best RF in my team’s system and was in AA for two and a half seasons until I finally got called up. However, when I got the call to AAA I was there for 6 games and I got called up to the MLB.
Took forever in AA, but no time in AAA.

I was only in AA for half of my first season, been in AAA for the rest. My overall is 91, good stats, no player ahead of me on roster for overall rating....I'm confused. But I keep grinding. Lol

Now entering year 3, no MLb call up yet for Cubs. I am a 91 overall, the next best LF in the system is a 74. 1st minor league year batting .275 with 39 HR, the 2nd .260 with 33 HR. How in the heck am I not being called up yet?!?!?
Are you going to Spring Training? If so, make sure you don't simulate. It should keep you on the team. I find simulating games at all, in general, makes it tougher to get called up. 90 ovr with .260 and 33 hr should get you there. The drop from .275 to .260 looks, to me, like you're simming.

I have not simulated a single game yet...3 years in

that is so weird. you should send a ticket to sds.

Yeah, that's really odd. If you were playing a 2-way player... I've seen enough complaints about the buggy nature of 2-way that I would be able to say that, but I'm up to like 5 careers now and only once did I spend more than a season in AA-AAA, and that was on a CP. Definitely send a bug report or something.

How are you increasing your OVR so quickly? I’m halfway through my first season in AA and I’m at a 65. I focus on power and contact but it seems like I’m getting worse at hitting all the time. The manager pulls me in every few weeks to tell me I’m a disappointment (duh). What tips do you have for an old guy trying to enjoy his first gaming system since PS2?

I do have 20 HRs, 18 2B and 4 3B but I get picked off all the time and ground into a million DP hahaha. I kinda suck (but the game is a blast so far)

Update...half way through year 3 and still in AAA. Overall is 95....batting. 297 with 23 hr. No call up....just had my coaches meeting and not living up to expectations, I don't take enough walks. This is messed up. 2nd best LF in Cubs system is 75 overall. This is nuts. Lol. But I keep playing. I got to 95 because I play every single at bat and fielding opportunity. Earn the points and power up...simple. but not so simple to get called up I guess. Lol

here i am never having spent more than 2 months in the minors with any of my players this year wondering how you cant get to the majors with that overall or stats

I've got 4 RTTS players (CF,RF,1B, and 2 way SP/1B). My RF was the only one that didn't get called up before the break, and he was called up shortly after. My 1B skipped AAA and went straight to the show in June of year 1 with a 70 OVR.
It's very odd that you're player hasn't made it to the bigs yet.

I have had the exact same experience!! It’s incredibly frustrating. I’m year one I called to the MLB briefly but was sent back down to AAA even though I was leading the team in RBI’s and hitting .301. I just went through a whole season as the highest rated 2B with the Royals but never got called up. I am now an 86 overall and the fifth highest rated player on the entire team. The second rated is 2B is 69 overall but I just got optioned to AAA after Spring training again to begin season 4. I love this game and this mode but this is so horribly frustrating. It makes me just want to give up. Everyone says it’s all about having the higher rating but this has been incredibly not true for me sadly. And I don’t sum the games either.

@SkinniestTea441_XBL honestly it exactly how i remember baseball being only the truly exceptional players stay in the majors everyone else bounce between AAA and the majors
