2 LS players to go

I just need Judge and Ohtani. And I have 100K stubs.

@samguenther1987_PSN good luck in finishing it quickly. Diamond seasons might be the best money making option right now besides trying to invest. Diamond quest can get pretty boring after getting the cards you want but if you win your games you’re pretty sure to get at least 1 or two players to sell and some packs.
Thanks, I'm currently working on getting all the All Star vouchers, I have the AL done, and a full team of the NL Color Storm players ready to go tonight. I'm hopeful that I can pull something out of those packs. If not I will look to Diamond Quest.
-
I’m probably like a lot of folks. Still need the “Big 4”: ohtani, judge, Witt, Ramirez. Costing a cool 1.5 million stubs or so.
We need a 90+ LS Flash sale badly…..
-
I finally finished the the Mets so now I have Zimmermann but still need all the one's over 100k
-
I have Judge left to go but I'm stuck at 277.000 stubs because there is not much to do anymore to earn packs like early on. In TA I'm at 25% in all so it's Finest vouchers next. No decent conquest maps left. Sure I can keep doing the 3s map, Diamond quest, or 28 game haul through a mini season but, with pack odds and the strange disparity between most diamonds and the chosen few, I'd have to complete those things like 10x just to possibly land a diamond Wirth 4000 stubs and a handful of Golds to earn maybe another 3000....So unless I get real lucky I'll never have enough stubs to buy Judge, by the time he comes down in price I'll probably be playing something else.

@Ledfoot_19_PSN Yea. This is easily the most unrewarding game I've ever played. I have like 300 hours, every program done and still like 700k from LS and light years from Ted. If you don't flip market, are elite, spend money or get extremely lucky with pack pulls you have zero chance to complete this any time soon. Yea, sure I guess I could play DQ. Say 20k stubs per run at 35 runs would get me there. This is pending I got both rewards every time which is even impossible on GOAT unless you run through the whole map. Who wants to do this? You can't say I don't like grinding as I also have every team affinity to at least 315k which is the last 5 pack you can receive. Why would I want to grind for more packs when packs have been absolutely atrocious?
They even nerfed mini seasons into oblivion. Don't you need something stupid on one of them like 300 hits? That's only around 10 hits a game. Some people can't do that on rookie.
I'll still play but I just screw around now. I won't say I won't purchase next year because I will because I love baseball and unfortunately this is really the only game in town. What I will do however is instead of purchasing $100 like usual I will purchase the standard for $60. Honestly the $40 did me absolutely nothing. I would be in the same position spending $60 than $100.
-
This is pretty much exactly how I feel. I’ve grinded a good amount and have all program done but still missing 4 big cards from live collection and it’s discouraging. Thousands of packs with no end in sight. Next year I’m either out or getting the bare minimum.
-
I still need Ohtani, Judge, Ramirez, and Tatis Jr.
I feel bad. Sorry to admit that, but with all the packs I've opened, to not get even one of those 4, and it's almost July is ridiculous. It shouldnt be this hard. Its gotten to the point where pack openings are 'just get it over with' sessions. Miraculously, I pulled Witt Jr. about 2 weeks ago. Can't hit with him, but I have Elly at SS anyway! -
Other than Ohtani and Judge the cards aren’t even that good. They are simply obstacles to get the collection cards we all actually want. Hard to justify spending over 200K stubs on a card I won’t even use because packs are so ridiculously awful.
-
@TheGoaler_PSN Pack openings for me are if I get a diamond it is going to be an 85 for 3k. If it is like a summer pack it is going to be the lowest base card you can pull. At this point it is comical and will hit with my credit card next year unless something changes really quick. If 100,000 people got irritated (people say they won't buy but they do. I was 2 weeks late this year. That is why I never say I won't buy) and only purchased the $60 copy instead of the $100 that would be a 4 million dollar hit to the company. That is a lot.
Yea, I could buy Tatis and Marte now and have zero stubs and STILL need 650k Ohtani but what is the purpose of doing that? I would rather have the 200k sitting there in case a card that I can actually use and enjoy comes around. I say that and I don't think I have a single chase card this year either which are some of the best. Wow, this model really sucks.
-
Yep, it’s crazy. Almost every diamond pulled is quick sell or close to it. They have found a loop hole to keep it legal, 2% pull rate, while skewing the odds to the bare minimum on anything worthwhile. It’s brilliant on one level and extremely scummy on another. I really think this year may be the breaking point for many long time players. Next year will be very telling.

To be fair, Ketel Marte has been insane for me. I pulled him and Soto early, thankfully. Ketel is so good, HE should be 500-600K!!
-
Yeah ketel has been solid for me too. I meant more on the mix of judge, Ohtani, Witt, Ramirez, tatis. Judge and Ohtani are good but not 600K good. Ramirez is solid but not worth over 200K. Witt shouldn’t be over 100K let alone 200K. Tatis shouldn’t be over 100K.
Spending over 100K for a card I’m barely or never going to use is a deal breaker for me. Especially when stubs are so hard to come by unless you exploit DQ on GOAT. The only players with stubs to burn this year are the whales and elites.
The average player is just out of luck up to this point.
-
@capardo_XBL how about an 88+ flash sale?
-
@LIONED-33_XBL 55K isn't a flash sale. It's a lottery ticket: you have a shot at 8 cards worth more than 55K, YOUR NOT GOING TO PULL THOSE....1:7. Might as well save your stubs up cause you'll just be angry you pulled mookie betts twice!
-
@LIONED-33_XBL ahhhh, didn’t see that. Explains why the four I need are down in price. Not close enough for ne to afford them though. Need one of them to get to around 100k!
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN others may disagree, but you continue to hit the ball out of the park in all threads you reply in! Keep going, bud!
-
Thanks. I’ve been around for a bit and use my eyes and my head coupled with some basic common sense. I don’t let the apologists try to gaslight and sway my opinion. Issues need to be called out to be addressed.
Continuing to glaze SDS on poor decisions only allows them to continue down that path of further denigrating this once great game. All I want is a solid baseball game that adds to my love of the sport and feels rewarding for the time and/or money I choose to invest.
Just walking away and refusing to speak up changes nothing. The only way to foster change is by calling out the bs when something isn’t adding up. Even if the white knights vehemently disagree it’s the right thing to do.
-
Just an FYI, industry estimates put The Show 25 at around $150-175M in sales already. I don’t think $4M in copies sold would cause any concern. Especially considering 25 sold 23% more copies at launch than 24.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN disagree; the only way to bring change is to stop buying the game. Sadly, the biggest moaners are back year after year.
