Since nothing in life is free (as it should be), I am just trying to get an idea on what the cost of doing the exchanges would be.You either grind or pay there is no way around it....no handouts

Depends on how many points you have per team honestly, I suggest doing as many as possible as I am sure there are going to be some sick players coming out soon... If you have 0/70 stars it’ll cost you about 30-35k to get to 50 stars ( roughly ) and 42-50 for all 70... I have 16 players for TA working on adding 4 more next week - happy hunting
Thanks brother, That is the info I was looking for.
I have anywhere from 13 to 23 points on all teams (besides the ones I have completed)
I have done all of the collections for 10 pts and the FOTF moments for the other 3.
I will grind the team stat missions for another 5 and then do some exchanges on the teams I want. -

I just noted down all the missions and build my team in a manner to unlock TA points. I only have 2 so far (Santana and Ohtani), and got those from doing showdown, but mostly, I'm just grinding it out and not really caring much. I've got the majority of the gold prospects unlocked at this point.

This has to be the happiest non complaining thread on this forum! Keep it up guys, also to the OP - I highly suggest taking a look at the Braves TA Ozzie Albies he has been the best TA for me so far this year

AL West and Central are easier showdowns if you want to try that. But exchanges are pretty cheap right now so def can be worth it. You can do 40 points worth of exchanges for 16-17k

I noticed in the game screen, it says new showdowns coming next week with the Stage 2 affinities. I assume that the new showdown vouchers will still help you unlock Stage 1 items (if you haven't made it to 70 points yet). I am purposely staying away from showdown, but if gameplay and RNG in the mode improves, I'd be willing to go back and do it. Right now, I'm doing MTO.

I’ve really enjoyed MTO this year. Yeah it takes a little while but at least you know you will get a reward. Showdown sux.

I am growing to love MTO. I just started the playoffs with my seventh team. And the getting rewards at the gates makes it way more relaxing.
I lost in the first round on one of my runs because I tried a harder difficulty. But, when it was done I still got a bunch of affinity and it was a lot of fun.

I suck with showdown as well but I'm starting to find my groove a bit. Have completed the AL Central 5x, and AL West 2x in the past week.
If I can do it then anyone can do it lol

You still get some affinity points if you lose?
You get points based on how well you do compared to expectations at the All-Star break and at the end of the season. After that, you get points for each postseason round you win.

This game is not perfect, but its "our" game. I accept the good and the bad, but this game can be so much fun and so rewarding.

Start to finish, if you use buy orders, you can get any team affinity to 50 for 20k

If you plan to use the exchange wait until cards come down a little. I usually use 84 golds, but not until I can get them for close to quick sell
