Polo ground Pete Crow and weekend classic

@YOSHI24_XBL
I wouldn’t play dumb Yoshi I think you know blind siding someone with polo grounds while manning your lineup with the fastest outfielders is giving yourself the upper hand by quite the margin. Especially if matched up with someone that wasn’t expecting it.
It shouldn’t be allowed on ranked -
@sbchamps17_NSW
Thanks for thinking outside the box great reply I’ll considerate it -
How is it blindsiding someone when it's not illegal to have a fast OF in Ranked? But please if you think that it is show me exactly where it says that it's illegal
-
You are missing the principal. Polo grounds should not be allowed on ranked. The person choosing it is going to do the obvious with their squad. The visitor is clueless and has no option to man their squad with the appropriate players for it to be fair. Both you guys are playing dumb.
-
You can’t be serious. You literally go in to every game not knowing what players your opponent is going to have and what stadium you’re going to play in.
-
@dmc04005_PSN
YOU can’t be serious … there’s only one stadium to my knowledge where perfect perfects anywhere center left center or right center are immediate outs if opponent has fast enough defense.
on the contrary if you don’t have the defense for it they are rounding the bases. The dude for two or three inside the park homers off me in the beginning. Give me a break. If nobody supports me on this so be it. -

In before ban for posting a player's gamer tag.
-
Do what I do. Swing way late and hit 275 foot bombs all day at Polo Grounds. Even PCA can't get those...
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL not a bad idea
-
Or…if having PCA in CF is such an advantage, you could also put him in your lineup? Every player has pluses and minuses and people have to make choices. I roll with PCA in CF because the defense is worth having a guy who can’t hit as well as most. But that’s a trade off people make.
I get that Polo Grounds is weird, but that’s why baseball is cool and I think it’s fun to play there. I don’t choose it every time, but I definitely work it into the mix and when I do, my OF is PCA/Carroll/Beltran. -
You got owned homie. Chalk up the loss and move on. Whining about it isn’t going to get your 40 minutes back.
-
@Busta-21_XBL
Thanks daddy will keep in mind -
Strategy. There’s an old park I like where the LF is 400 feet. I put the fastest team possible in LF and CF. I pitch the opponent to LF. Load on LH because the RF is 320.
Strategy.
-
Don't we play to win the game? I need to call Herm Edwards and have his [censored] get on these boards!
-
Lovin the support guys keep it comin
-
Just keep PCA on your bench. Problem solved.

It shouldn’t be allowed on rankedWtf … There is always a 50%-chance someone picks a stadium I do not like and were my lineup is maybe „not ideal“.
Additionally you pointed out PCA as a problem (which he is, he is a defensive orientated monster) which I also do not see (rn he has some real weaknesses).
Sure, Polo is weird, but so is Coors (in some way) or the disgraceful shield woods 2024 version (they gladly nerfed that) …I am pretty sure, that everybody here has some stadium, which he would like to have on the „That should not allowed“-list … You gotta live with it, I suppose
-
Honestly this just seems like home field advantage....I always play at coors, shippett, or the minor league american park with the brick building in left. I feel like it rewards my power and I try to stack power hitters and don't worry a ton about speed.
Others use those parks with super low elevation who can't hit well but can pitch fine and they want to keep the ball in the park.
If you play polo ground I would take your LF and shift him to left center and your RF and shift him to right center....You're giving up the lines but since the wall is so short they're likely singles anyway. By aligning your defense this way you're rarely going to give up a inside the park HR or triple regardless of if you have yordan and stanton in your corners.

@ref479ode_PSN
That’s a great point thanks
