@richey2geeked_up_MLBTS How can you tell what level they are on?
-
Bye...See you tomorrow!
-
They said before WC 2 that if the search bar goes far enough you could play ppl 1 tier above or below the tier you are in.
-
@PAinPA_PSN How can you even tell what other people are in?

I don't know

I am in Gold II and I have guys on my leaderboard with ratings over 1000 (highest), a lot between 500-600, and even a 200 … Looks like it the leadboard is broken again
-
@YOSHI24_XBL how does that mean it’s broken?

well, Gold II says only 800-900-ppl … based on the highest rating of that season. I listed the highest ratings from my leaderboard

You still get ranked points for weekend classic. So you can still rise in ranking.

That is not what highest rating for wc is saying … and does not explain, why someone starts at that ratings I cited (I had the ratings when 0 games were played)

The Weekend Classic starts you out in the highest tier you reached that season, regardless of where you are now. So if you got to, say, 805 a few weeks ago but are now down to 650, you’ll be in the 800-899 tier and still be ranked 650.
-
I like that multiple people immediately jump to “the game is broken, fix it”, assuming that the multi-million dollar company with a team of developers is the problem, rather than thinking “maybe I’m just not doing this right or I’m missing something”.

Yes, that was the error in the first wc-iteration, you could tank. The leaderboard says current and highest rank. The guys I cited had e.g. both at 200 or both under 600. Have fun explaining that or check your leadboard for similarities … To me it looks like the same error from WC1 is back again

Honestly, I think they should just put people in whatever their current rank is level. Might get some people who stay lower to do better but it's less likely to get abused since the awards are significantly worse. Overall though I'm really enjoying the weekend classic dynamic personally.
-
@YOSHI24_XBL you start weekend classic at whatever your current ranked ranking is in whatever was the highest division you made. Your weekend classic ranking is the difference in your current rank and the rank you finish. So if you are ranked 800, and finish weekend classic at 900, your weekend classic rank is 100

Simple ppl loose a bunch before the classic on purpose to get favorable brackets to them

Gold 2 here also and have faced 3 with world series badges. My highest rank was right before the WBC and it was 720. Absolute horse dung that I am getting stuck against these dudes who have every card, both live, collection and all the latest chase cards. They are clearly are WELL above my level. Those who intentionally drop their rank to make others have an unbearable no shot chance are sweaty douche canoes. The best dudes already get insane rewards, those of us trying to build get straight shat on.
-
@ckernan78_XBL I made World Series during the first ranked program. Haven’t played much ranked since. I’ve dropped to bronze tier because I haven’t been playing ranked. I have the WS icon and every card. Your assumptions might not be accurate.

That's not how it works. If you hit 800 rating and drop back down to 500, you're still going to play in the 800 rating division.
You guys are probably just running into people who didn't play much ranked this season. I didn't play a single game of ranked this season and was rated 450 and in bronze 2.
I've made it up to 700 during WC and every game I've played I've been matched up with someone who's rating has been close to mine. So even though I'm in the 400-499 division, my last game I still matched up with someone who was rated 680ish.
