Pipeline Past Showdown
-
@Luckygiodom_PSN Puk got me, I had tied it and ended up running into an out with the winning run. I am slowly making my way throw it as I only like doing one or maybe two mini bosses at a time.
-
@sbchamps17_NSW Or maybe don’t overreact to a simple question?
-
@Luckygiodom_PSN only this one and the NLB one. All others are one and done.

Maybe if your question wasn't condescending in the first place...

I think I’m one of the only people that actually like showdowns. Especially when they are specific rewards for doing them. Most of the time they’re pretty easy too.
-
@MRAD2010_XBL I like the idea, but I don't like execution. Maybe one day it'll grow on me!

Once only for a card is fine, I didnt mind this.
Pipeline 4x was too much
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS They changed it to 2 cards per pack for the Spring Breakout Showdown
-
I'm not great at Showdown but did the Pipeline Past one first time. Look for fastballs up in the zone. Steal when you can.

Steal every time you get on first base with a 70/70 guy or higher. Keep speed guys on the bench just to do this with. Double plays are killers in showdown
-
It's not the worst showdown, but Nate Pearson is impossible to hit, with that pitch mix/speed variance. Much tougher than the actual boss card.

I got 3 hits off him in my run,(also had the winning run on 3rd when made the last out vs Cole, so I went into Giolito needing 10 runs.
I like to think because Pearson was so incredibly difficult Giolito became a cakewalk after.
Scored 7 runs and only 2 outs my first time through and it was 25-23 after that and very easy to complete with 25 outs left.
So I'm very thankful for Pearson, it would have been more difficult without him -
@MRAD2010_XBL I really enjoy them too and I'm sad the community has led to them getting worse every year. However, I think that led to them implementing diamond quest which I thoroughly enjoy.
-
I finally completed the showdown and used Zone Hitting doing it, never thought I'd see the day that I would be playing this game using zone and actually doing well with it
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Call me a fool, i just lead Vladdy and hit bombs. But I guess you can bunt if you want.
-
I did finally finish it. I lost to AJ Puk, but then it didn't take long for me to get 6 runs against Giolito. I did hit a lot of HRs in this showdown. It was like a continuation of the Moonshot program!

But if you bat Vladdy second and bunted first its a 2 run bomb
Its not a difficult showdown, but I really dont enjoy the mode so will bunt everytime because its unquestionably faster to do so for anyone who cant hit .600+ without bunting.
-
I didn't bunt at all but it still took me 10 trys to complete it, finally just somehow started hitting HRs
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Agree to disagree. I don't hit even close to .600 offline and I finished it in one try.
-
Don't need to hit .600, do need to be able to hit upper 90s though or nasty breaking.
I didn't used to like showdown much, didn't do well at it either
I changed my approach, I now go in with the approach that for how ever many runs I need I need that many base runners, don't try to get any specific types of hits, just hit the ball well and get base runners.i have had a much easier time with showdown since taking this approach.
