I happy with 4 spotlight program cards. Maybe only 1 in the weekly pack? Unlikely. Lol
Its lightning week
So I think 5 spotlights and 3 topps now should be expected in the pack
I wouldnt be shocked if they throw in a 'special insert' as well just to make the retro lightning more expensive. -

This is 4 chase cards for the Retro BS program and 2 players who you can pull / buy that are only good for TA / theme teams. SDS I have a serious question for you guys and feel free to answer ( even though I know you will not cause you know what your doing is garbage ) --
? -- Last time around people complained that you have to be super duper lucky and then spend like 100 to 200 K on cards to get the retro but instead of modifying it you double down and do it again. Disney ( Marvel etc ) keep doing the same stupid thing and they lose money . Do you think your immune to blowback and people just saying HECK with this and telling SDS and the Show to pound sand and never play again AKA losing customers ??
I have no idea who is the CEO of SDS or who makes the decisions but that person or persons should be fired cause they are clueless. -- just my humble opinion.

Are you sure ? -- I am pretty sure last time around is was 4 chase cards and 2 Topps now like i laid out -- If i am wrong and I hope I am but like 80% sure I am -- in a game now but will look at the last drop that led into a LP player to see when done to see.
I believe your right was not in the game only the pitcher select so backed out and looked. I guess I am just so annoyed by Wed that i overreacted a little but still the retro program thing is garbage -- LOL

Well, they really haven't had anyone, other than debuts, to warrant a card.

And we have discussed endlessly why they have not gotten a Topps Now Card. The last one they received was 5/25 for Marcelo Mayer but I and others don't believe they would give a guy a 88 or 90 version when he already has an 87 pipeline version.
So that leaves Spotlight cards. Who has done something noteworthy in May that deserves a Spotlight? Devers was excellent but he already has a 90 overall card. Bregman was only average and spent the last week of the month on the DL.

@Dolenz_PSN But how can it be justified to give the Sox 0 when other teams have 6-10 of these cards, even crappy teams? You know they must have stretched their rules for at least some of them.

Yeah wasn't it like the shortest walk off ever? Haha that's a hard to accomplish feat that is definitely worthy of a Topps Now.

@dbub_PSN Well, those crappy teams don’t have a lot of diamonds in general and typically are lacking in legends. This is the way to keep those teams up to speed with diamonds. The Red Sox are doing just fine. In terms of theme teams, they are near the top of the list.

Defend the A's then - Crappy team but with 6+ cards in TN/Spotlight AND they're near the top of overall amount of Flashbacks/Legends.
There may be other teams like this too, but the A's were glaring.
Edit - And I just counted again and we've gotten 117 Topps Now and Spotlight (including the new ones revealed today).
I don't care what team it is, 0 for 117 is just not right. It seems intentional at this point.

It's definitely a game and 'meta' balance decision as much as it is rewarding players for big moments or performance. They also know what's on their roadmap for program rewards and use Topps Now to help boost teams who likely won't get any. Teams like the Blue Jays weren't getting Topps Now cards (I think they have just the 1 Nate Pearson affinity card until this upcoming drop with Clement). They knew the Jays were getting some love in the Moonshot & Pipeline Past programs.

I understand that. However, the topps now series and the spotlight series are different. They highlight some of the lesser-known or young players. Sure, the Red Sox have plenty of stars but I just want to see them get one card of a lesser known name. They have plenty of options. Here are three:
- Carlos Narvaez - 2nd among AL catchers in WAR (only behind Raleigh obviously)
- Wilyer Abreu - has deserved a card better than live series the last 2 years.
- Cedanne Rafaela - shortest walkoff HR ever, I think.
