I just quit a match I was winning. Bases loaded perfect perfect to the track with Kris Bryant. The entire 3 inning round just felt scripted. I don’t understand with that kind of launch angle and hit how that happens. The games exit velos are all over the place and everything seems to be a toss up. So I just quit and I think I’m sort of over this. This kind of gameplay makes you want to put your controller down but I’ll admit it’s tough. I am addicted and it sucks.

Who else has these issues often ? Does anyone ask themselves why we keep dedicating so much time to gameplay that isn’t consistent and clearly unfinished ? I just dread online play so much when this is the Norm. If someone doesn’t mind please check my gameplay my launch angle and my exit velo on that last hit and explain to me why the game allowed it to die at the track? What constitutes whether the ball is leaving or not ? Is it truly a toss up ?

@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL, Not sure I could see your launch angle and exit velo, but here's a tool on Baseball Savant that shows real results when you enter those variables (just plot it on the graph, and it gives results): https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_field

At least you can get an idea of how those things play out in real life if you think they're way off.

Launch angle is a big deal. I used to occasionally look stuff up on baseball savant when people on reddit would post clips and screenshots and found that, most of the time, SDS was fairly accurate on distances based on Exit Velocity and Launch angles

Looking at the game log Bryants exit velocity was 102 and based on 2025's stats, the highest HR % at that velocity is 66.7% at a 29 degree angle and 60% at a 33 degree angle.

At 102 mph exit velocity, in 2025, the average distance hit was 391 feet.

So the question becomes an exit velocity one probably. Does the pitcher H/9 or HR/9 modify exit velocity? Looks like you were up against Hader who has a high H/9 but below average HR/9. The 90 Bryant has good but not great Power vs lefties (80). I don't believe exit velocities are random but they may have tweak some behind the scenes calculations, but of course we will never know.

It could also be a launch angle issue since I personally feel like I am hitting a lot more high launch angle fly balls, ones that I feel should not be that high

@Dolenz_PSN HR/9 matter in simulations only, not H2H.

Was there wind in the game? I've had some hits (not those LA and EVs) that according to that tool would have been 415 -420ft. (and a homer) but the 3mph wind cost it enough distance that it was caught at the 408 sign.

Man no clue that’s a great question. Honestly it happens often man. I play countless matches where I square balls up and they just get nowhere yet my opponent hits early and late dinks that just knock the bat and barely get over first or third and they are impossible to field. It just feels odd. I feel like this year my games are very close no matter what. It feels like solid contact can sometimes actually bite you in the [censored] often and create an atmosphere of negative mindfulness lol and then you in your own head
