They could easily have upped the pull rates on the 90+ cards weeks ago and it would of helped if they didn't raise the cap on the max sell price on those cards. I've probably opened over 1200 packs and only pulled one 90+ once all year (in a may spotlight). They know what they are doing for some reason they want it like this. I don't see why though because idk about you guys but I would be more inclined to open up the wallet for let's say $50 to get some stubbs for an Ohtani, but I don't know who would be spending $500 to do so.

@VioletNine9_XBL I have no reason to lie to you about a video game man. Lol. What I said I did is 100% what I did. Grind the hell outta the game, save stubs, had a lot of lucky pulls. Don't know what else to tell ya!

I’ve had the live collection done since the first roster update. I’m now sitting on 2.7 million stubs. I have every card I want in the game. I’ve spent zero dollars in two and a half months. Before that I spent very little. In the next years game I will spend nothing but the initial cost of the game. My big secret method? Pay attention to real life baseball players, understand how SDS determines attributes and find the guys who are due an upgrade. Know quick sale value and buy the cards up at low prices in large quantities.

This “method” takes very little extra effort thanks to the app. Sit down to use the toilet? Make purchases orders on the app. I’ve read box scores since I was a kid in the newspaper, now I read baseball reference daily for about fifteen minutes and have had massive success. I had 167 Joe Ryan’s I quick sold today. I’m no genius, I’m a real life baseball fan who figured some things out. You can do it too.

Well … here is the second one, no flipping, no extra money, no market stuff, missed the launch week, got Beltran late April … How? Be smart and set a focus … but maybe calling out ppl is the easier answer for you 🙂

No, it is not … So do not do it. There are enough good cards for less. LS will come down, focus on something else instead … As I always say: Your thumbs matter more than cards

Just out of curiosity why quick sell instead of put on the market for a higher price? I never understand what the best way to go is.

In a couple months these collections will be so easy and cheap.....don't feed the micro transaction beast!! Video game companies convincing us to keep paying for a game we already paid for has to be the biggest thing since sliced bread

@YOSHI24_XBL yeah right son. You earned like 5 mill in stubs in 5 weeks nms. You been outside or taken a shower or seen a toilet in those 5 weeks son?

@bostondirtdog21_PSN the better return would be to list them on the market, but the quantities of cards make it somewhat prohibitive. I usually just quick sell and take the profits and move on.

Maybe this simple answer is the only one you will have with your mindset 🙂 … Other than that: You did not need to earn 5M in the first 5 weeks (way less, especially if you know how to read the market), the rest belongs to the smarter approach like selling stuff you do not need (first), focus on getting packs, things of value, etc. …

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN I probably finished the entire collection for less than 2.5M. Buy the expensive cards first.

I just got Beltran last Tuesday and only bought 1 150k stub bundle when the stub sale was going. I don't "flip" at all really and just follow baseball and know which lower tier cards could possibly get upgraded. I just sell all my duplicates and any card I don't feel will make my squad. And I had to grind to save up for Judge and Witt and had saved up another 450k by doing DQ and would have made enough to buy Ohtani NMS as well, but got impatient and just spend the 70$. So it can be done and I did it without going 10-0.

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN you cant be expecting these guys to understand economics

Please. SDS has manipulated the market with quicksell values and pack distribution to create the type of market where flipping is basically a waste of time, all in order to encourage players to spend real money. Raising the cap on high diamonds to 750K as well -- almost forgot that.

    WHO doesn't understand economics???

This thread is comedic gold. There are plenty of ways to make stubs and not spend hours a day on the game. Plenty of people have pointed out how, plenty of people still blame others for their situation.

I completed the live series collection the first day of the very first weekend classic when I bought Ohtani for 380k due to the weekend classic packs having LS in them. That was the last card I needed. I am completely no money spent. I don’t really flip cards either. I prefer to just play the game. Took me 4 weeks to do it. It is incredibly easy to earn stubs in this game and you can read the markets as to when the best time to buy a player will be. That’s why you are seeing prices rise so much. People are making the stubs to make these purchases.

So not only do I have LS done. I have Rolen, Buxton, most of the chase cards (I think the only two I don’t have are Acuna and Yordan). I’ll probably have Acuna today, and could care less about the Yordan card honestly. Although I’ll still probably get him at some point because I like to finish out the year with all the cards.

It’s the journey, not the destination. Last year I finished LS early and had packs stockpiling most of the way after that.

Seems worth noting that most of these cards have already come back down in price in the 4 days since the roster update. Yes they are still very expensive, and that's an entirely separate discussion, but keep this in mind when the next roster update rolls around and you jump in to overreaction mode about them jumping in price for a few days again.

I completed the collection no money spent. Even though I spend money. I pulled Ohtani twice. Just spamming diamond quest and everywhere else the free packs were available. Funny story I had a friend who bought stubs off of a site. Completed collections. I’m a 100% disabled vet and I contemplated buying some whenever I got paid on the 1st between one check I completed the collection and my buddy was livid 😂
