Amazing pack odds

Couldn’t tell you how many packs I have opened yet I know it’s well over 1000 packs so far this year. I have yet to see blue lights when pulling a diamond and every live series card over 90 is going for ridiculous prices currently. Made my investments in this roster update and brought in about 400k. Crazy to this barely half way to ohtani. So I opened 5 50 pack bundles because I know it’s going to take forever to save up that many subs. Well I got 3 diamonds with 2 of them being egg hunt cards. Cherry on top all the chase packs were 85 overalls. Just really don’t understand how anybody is supposed to complete these collections when you go to work during the day then come up and have to go to work again just to see the prices of these players fly up again.

This year is especially tough with terrible pack odds made worse by the inclusion of all special series low diamonds and the prices are ridiculous.
My advice, that I’m following myself as a working man with obligations and a family, is that I’m not pushing to get anything done. This is tough because I’ve completed all 4 of the previous versions after starting late in 2020 and beginning fresh with 2021.
If the prices eventually come down great, and if not I’m fine with simply walking away. Fairly confident this is my last year as the game is no longer adding to my enjoyment of baseball. It’s a bummer but is what it is.

I don't get how they can see all the negative backlash on these forums and not do something to try and keep their player base happy. I'm fed up! I've been playing this game since before Diamond Dynasty was even a thing and It will probably be the last time I buy it.

@Buster_Cherry91_PSN yeah same here. I have opened a out the same number if packs and Ive pulled judge and Trout earlier but haven't seen anything since. I'm normally done with collections by now but I just made about 500 k on investments so even sitting at 1 mill I still don't have enough to finish. I think I'm just going to get the cards I want and screw collectors this year with Otani that keeps going up which is ridiculous.

Absolutely my last year buying this game and I’ve spent thousands on it over the years. It’s tedious, not as fun as it once was, and not rewarding. Something is definitely up with the pack odds this year. I’ve never had so few diamonds considering the number of packs opened. However, the biggest problem I have is just how little rewarded you are with gameplay PXP with bad hitting and unreal CPU defense on rookie (especially). There’s no fun way to grind stats this year and I absolutely don’t have time to play several hours per day. Lately, I give the game one CPU 9 inning game to pull me in. If hitting isn’t bad and I’m not getting gipped by the computer, I might continue to play longer that day. Otherwise, I’m done. Not gonna let myself continue to get ticked off playing rookie CPU games. There are more fun things I can do. If I had this year to do all over again, I wouldn’t have wasted money buying it. If I wanted to get ticked off and ripped off by a sports game, I would’ve played 2K and Madden. MLB is right there with them now.

This take pretty much sums up exactly how I feel about the game this year. My 2 biggest pulls were trout and judge and those were well over a month ago.

They only care about the money at this point. Sony is calling the shots and its profits over players from now on.

Once the power creep has cards higher overall and better than live series cards the prices will go down. It may take a month or so longer than people are used to but have patience, or grind diamond quest.

I just finished the cactus conquest map. Got around 25 standard show packs. (Among a couple of other packs). Anyway, I literally could have quick sold every player card in those 20+ standard packs. Those I posted, I’ll make a couple of stubs profit ( at best). Ive never experienced that before.

I’ve grinded this game for so many hours. I couldn’t even tell you how many packs I’ve opened and I’ve only seen blue lights once and that was yesterday I pulled Joc Peterson moonshot. I actually got excited when I saw the blue lights thinking it was one of the big name live series cards. Nope. Just a moonshot card worth a fraction of those guys.

Yep I’m hundreds of packs deep with basically no diamonds above quick sell. Opening packs is just tedious at this point. The odds of pulling a higher diamond are by far the worst they have ever been by a mile.

Heh. When I first saw this thread, I thought it was someone busting the chops of those of us who have horrible pack luck, with this year being worse than ever. I'm glad to see I'm not alone in the pack luck misery this year.

I'm having the best pack luck this year that I have ever had in years of playing this game. Most years I never pull any of the high diamonds at all, but this year I was lucky and pulled Judge very early on. With the odds being what they are, that's just how it goes, sometimes you are lucky and sometimes you aren't.

I don’t understand the sentiment either. I have pulled Judge, JRam, and Ohtani from free standard packs or headliner packs (which have been the hottest packs for me). I also foolishly blew stubs on a two diamond packs during the last flash sale. Pulled a will smith in the first and Ohtani in the second. Sold him and invested all of that into Joe Ryan cards. Made a nice 30% off of it. I am sick of pulling egg cards and now moonshot cards in packs. The lower QS value of them makes it extremely infuriating.

I don’t necessarily think pack luck is any different this year than any other year. Most people don’t come here to post when they have awesome luck. We just hear about the bad luck.
Last year, and I [censored] you not, on opening weekend I pulled Ohtani and two Trouts during PRE-release. I had live series finished by the end of March. Best pack luck id ever had. I didn’t post about it though. But the guy that goes a whole season without ever sniffing Trout or Ohtani is gonna post about it. It can be Infuriating, but that’s RNG probability for ya…

I pull diamonds from free packs all the time. Pulled Tatis yesterday and sold him and bought my 41st moonshot card so now I have Buxton. Also for some unknown reason I got 177k for completing a moment yesterday.

I feel like all the free showpacks they give you the odds for them are 100-1 or worse. Because i have opened 200 plus no diamonds a couple of times. I wrote them and email about it. It is bs for sure
