Do updates apply to already existing files

Do player model and uniform updates apply to already existing RTTS files and franchise mode files or do I have to start a new mode every time there’s an update??

If the player model was already a scan, then yes
If the player model was a cap ( physical editable ), then no, won't update in an existing franchise
Equipment is available to be updated in existing franchises as well
No idea on existing RTTS as I don't play that mode

Oh man so when Kristian Campbell happens he will remain a CAP? Frustrating but worth starting a new franchise, weird how he was editable I don’t remember seeing that in past years rookies or any other rookies on the Sox this year.
