Brock 75 speed??? Winn only 90 arm???

SDS needs to be taken out of commission. Inexcusable lol

This is the unfortunate side effect of having a power creep. If you want to give guys like Brock and Winn high power and contact then something has to be deducted to keep them at the intended level.
These and I am sure the ones for all of the other teams are made up cards with no real basis in the reality of those players stats and abilities. They apparently wanted to give high contact guys a card with some power for the event. Winn's actual card based on his play has a 99 ARM.
But thanks for the heads up as I did not realize that they added these cards. That means that there multiple Cardinals I need to spend my stubs on
They are doing it again, and probably just not the Cardinals. 4 Cardinals released today all in packs.
Erick Fedde - Spotlight Pack
Wilson Contreras - Spotlight Pack
Lou Brock - Rare round from the Moonshot Program Pack
Masyn Winn - Mid round drop from a Moonshot Program PackAdd in Matthew Liberatore from an April Spotlight pack who is still going for 30K plus.

Im just a little bummed because I love brock cards because of the good swing combined with 99/99.
Now hes much more generic -

I'll call this one Glue Brock

This is a moonshot Lou … This is fictional … they gave him power so they had to take something or we would not had this …
I pretty much like it because we got this Lou and later we get maybe a 97 Lou with Speed. So we had two different Lou … Better than having two power-creep-scaled Lous looking and playing basically the same

I could not disagree with this statement more. Guys like Lou should absolutely get multiple cards throughout the year that reflect who they were. This would be a little more tolerable if there was an 86 Lou already, but now we basically are waiting until at least the all star break to get the first real Lou Brock card
-
Some of these cards are head scratchers. Colt Keith got turned into a .300 hitter, not a slugger.
If this card is anything like his Topps now from last year thats going to be one of the better 87s in the game
-
Yeah I know about the power theme card and all, but I would sacrificed a little contact with each card to make sure they got their defining tools.
Brock's game changing speed and Winn has arguably the best position player arm in baseball. -
I understand that this is a power run program but I usually play high contact high speed players so having this Brock and Brian Roberts does not suit me in the long run
-
I get it. It's the moonshot event. Nolan Ryan, and Josh Hader at 64? Not realistic, never in their careers could they have been rated so low. Same to be said about Arraez as a power hitter, at least he's slow like normal. It's a fantasy program with give and take to fit the style. I think they shouldn't have used any speedy guys, but whatever, it's only one program. The give and take makes sense to me. However, This would have been a good opportunity to not have Yankees or Dodgers. Unfortunately we got one of each.
Maybe a Shohei 64 because that's what he's pitching right now?

All of those moonshot cards stink I would never use any of them. This program is just binder fodder.

Binder fodder for some is a theme team starter for another, or just someone different to use
Mets get desperately needed players for a theme team. There are certainly a few good cards for the 95% of the playerbase that isnt WS+
That said, I would LOVE to face defense full of these guys.

@Teak2112_MLBTS Okay … Bet then look at Gwynn … same concept on him … It‘s a theme and they are doing something else. Imo very good content drop, although I am highly unsure which will make my god squad

I'm not a huge fan of the concept, but I do like the drop format in general, aside from 2 separate packs when one would have been fine. Given the DQ, MS, and event synergy I would say this is our best drop since launch day.
And really a lot of the cards arent far off being normal cards. We have sluggers like Prince and Delgado and even someone like Siri is a guy with a terrible bat but decent pop

@Teak2112_MLBTS agree, I will use Winn often, but they could have kept his arm at 99 and reduced his contact
