Just opened 82 packs and not a single diamond. Not to mention every gold card was a dupe.

Yep this is the norm this year. No diamonds and if you do get them they will be 85s if live series or 1-2K others. Lots of low level dupes. High diamonds are clearly being held back to create scarcity and solicit stub sales.
I’ve been feeling this was the case for a while now. After going on multiple dry stretches of 150-200 packs with zero luck and continuing to hear things like your post I’m almost 100% confident my hunch was and is spot on.
It’s ruining the fun by artificially prolonging completion of live series to protect their precious power creep.

That's just how it goes sometimes. This year my pack luck has been pretty solid, past years not so much. The odds are what they are, which means some of us out there are going to get lucky and some aren't.

Usually you pull a diamond around ever 50-100 packs, not always that way, but if you average it out and don’t take the Reddit posts where some dude pulls 4 Ohtanis in a ballin pack.

Oh, I get the stated odds but even if 2% of packs have a diamond, 99% of those seem to be low tier 1-3K diamonds, making anything higher extremely rare. Look at how all of the low tier diamonds and below cards are almost all at quick sell values and the high diamonds are sky high. It’s a mess and extremely demotivating.
Not asking for the high diamonds to be given out like candy on Halloween but the odds gotta be buffed a bit to reinvigorate the players feeling frustrated or the upcoming exodus will be huge.

I feel it, my diamonds pulls are usually Joe Torre and Rod Carew ( who are both worth less than golds sometimes) and the crew of George Kirby, Will Smith and Blake Snell, so I get I understand that, but odds wise I am pulling diamonds at the correct rate, they just are not worth anything. Which is a slightly different issue.

Getting the regular show packs definitely feel like a chore as you have to go through all the animations to open garbage. It makes sense why it seems like they give out a ton more than the last time I played many years ago.

This year’s game is either extremely bugged or extremely rigged. Maybe both. The amount of weird things happening on top of pack craziness just feels “off”.

I don’t mind spending a bit along the way but the ask this year is next level ridiculous. If I get too bummed out with this game I just go back and play any of the last 4 years.
I was able to get every card in the game for all of them. This year I don’t see it happening. All good things come to an end eventually.

I was going through a really bad stretch of not pulling diamonds but pulled Ohtani in a random pack I got through a program yesterday. It's just total chance and up to the pack gods.

Glad to hear you finally pulled the big one, congrats. At this point I really need to pull Ramirez, Witt, Soto, Lindor, Ohtani or Tatis to reinvigorate me. The missing 6.

If they gave out even a few more though, those market prices would start coming down. I dont need to pull every card in the game but id like to feel like LS is attainable. Im usually done with the LS by mid May every year...right now, i currently need 1.6 MILLION stubs to buy the last 7 cards i need. Im honestly not even motivated to do it and every day that goes by, every pack i open full of commons and a bronze netting me 70 stubs, i start thinking that they might lose me early this year.

well just opened 23 more with no diamond. Thats 105 packs without a diamond. Im gonna keep a tab to see how high it can get.
