Game freezing on select starting pitcher screen

I have been trying to play a game against CPU in diamond dynasty but when I get to the select starting pitcher screen my game freezes and I have to restart the game completely. (I’m on Xbox) I have tried resetting my team, selecting different difficulties, playing seasons, and now uninstalled and am reinstalling the game. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and if so what fixed it?

There are a few threads on this. Many are having this issue. No updates on a fix. The game is completely unplayable at this point!

Try to use dpad to enter substitution screens. This has worked for me and others.

I've played plenty of games vs CPU and don't have that problem

Thanks for the suggestion but I always use the dpad and it is freezing for me.

You are lucky. When you spend a full hour playing a game in franchise and it freezes on you in the 9th inning when you try to bring in your closer, believe me, you won’t want to play again until you have confirmation the bug is fixed.
It would be nice to hear from someone who is actually working on the coding end of this problem.
