Lightning card

I know its not until next week, but it almost has to be Alonso right?
They arent going to give it to Judge since it would be essentially his LS card
Guys like Carrol or Lee have had great months but not on the same levelThe cool thing is they could give Pete a completely different card than is typical. High contact/high vision. He does lead the league in doubles, but "only" has 7 HR so they can tone down the power a little to compensate. The .470 obp is absurd and he has drastically reduced his strikeouts
-
I think it will be Tork or Carrol honestly.
-
Hunter Brown
-
I feel Brown is the only other legit option, but how often do pitchers get it?. Alonso has much better slashes than Carrol and a WAR a half game higher.
Of course, nothing is stopping them from having a hitter and pitcher (which they should have been doing all along)

@Teak2112_MLBTS Tatis please.
-
I think it'll be Corbin Carroll

I think he is hurt by having an 88 live series card, that may even be higher tomorrow
If live series wasnt a factor Judge would certainly be the lightning

I would expect Carroll to get 1 rating under Pete, and probably be a pack card. i hope Im wrong on the pack card.
-
Give it to Bregman for the LOLs.
-
Teoscar Hernandez
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Yeah, but they like to give it to a player people like to use. I’d say Jorge Polanco, but he just got a card. Judge would be even closer to his live series. Alonso would be a disappointment IMO. So would any pitcher. That’s the last thing we need right now. Corbin Carroll probably makes the most sense, but Tatis would be better.
-
Bergman and Teoscar also make sense, but don’t have the appeal of Tatis.

Every 2023 lightning player was a Player of the Month
2024 didnt do monthly awards, they had a weird cycle (but guys like Doyle still got lightning cards)If Alonso wins PotM he gets the lightning for sure. If Tatis wins its more interesting. Carrol has a 0% shot at PotM over those two
Either way both will likely get cards
