Joe Adell Moment
-
Moments are the worst unfun mode in any game ever. When a game relys so heavily on RNG like most sport games do, moments just become monotonous forced idiocy of just playing over and over until the RNG stars align. Thank God they allow us to quit and restart without waiting for the play to end.

Change to directional hitting. I hit a grand slam first time when I changed it.
-
Best one to skip!

@Ledfoot_19_PSN I used to think that... and then they created Showdowns.

Don't they just try to match up moments to real life plays? He didn't hit a grand slam, so they won't require that.
I excel at MLBTS, so during this moment, I just kept hitting perfect/perfect grand slams. One right after another.
But, as you know, I'm a perfectionist. In reality, Adell's game-winning double was a line drive down the left field line. I finally hit a double, but that was over the CF's head. That doesn't do it for me.Three and a half hours later, I finally hit a double down the LF line that cleared the bases. Was it worth all that effort? Of course it was. I play this game right.
P.S. Wasn't there a moment a few years ago where we had to hit a double with... Castellanos maybe... and you posted something about how you could only hit bombs with him? I don't know - I'm old and forget things. But that was hilarious. I'm going to spend the rest of the day scouring the forums to find it.
EDIT: Here it is

This particular moment summarizes all that’s wrong with this mode. Clear the bases with a hit? Ok, hard, but doable.
Adell at the plate with 70 clutch, 52 power and 43 vision? Uh, not happening.
This moment occurred (meaning it’s in the past). So, help me recreate it. Have the pitcher throw hittable pitches. Also, have Adell have hitting numbers that can get the job done. 100 clutch. 90 power. 100 vision.
Even then, with hitting the way it is so far this year, that moment would be difficult. With his original numbers, uh, not happening.
After 10+ tries to get it, I’m skipping it.

Yeah me as well, he has a noodle for a bat
-
Had to hit a Grandslam to get it done after 10+ tries. Just ridiculous
Edit: A lot of ground rule doubles kept making me fail.
-
So I tried again and hit a grandslam so saying that you gave up but trying again proves that this topic of conversation works
-
I hit it down the right field line and all 3 scored on a double

When SDS trains you to be a warrior, all you know is how to be a warrior!

It's tough but doable and entirely superfluous to the program as a whole. If you don't want to do it they set up the program to make it very easily skippable.

@dap1234567890_PSN Took me a good 1 try (15) lol
-
I did it on my 2nd try (I usually suck at these types of moments). Got lucky and the ball rolled past the RF into the corner, my 2nd runner froze at 3rd and luckily started running again.. he and the 3rd runner crossed the plate almost at the same time
