Way too many players missing!!!

I expected to see many of these players scanned in 25. Hopefully many will come in updates soon. I only just bought the game yesterday. Have they added any scans in updates since release?

@Tel842063_XBL I agree. I can’t believe a lot of these guys weren’t added last year in 24. You’re a smart man, wish I wouldn’t have bought it at all bc no they haven’t added anyone. The first attribute update is on may 2nd so if there’s nothing added by then. I’m just gonna assume anything about a realistic baseball experience like franchise are abandoned. All they seem to update is The card game thing

@trfatboy22_PSN yeah I have. It’s the same game every year. That’s why we look forward to new things. Such as new players in the game like guys making their MLB debut…. I’m a baseball fan. You’re a casual who plays MLB video games. You ever consider not everyone plays the game the same way you do?

@Shua2168_MLBTS Incorrect. I'm a massive baseball fan. But I also have been playing since roster updates for games literally didn't exist and understand how hard it is to keep up to date when 30 teams (90 with MiLB) are changing their rosters daily. It is people like you who can't see how hard they are working and how much they actually do every year to try and stay as up to date as possible while troubleshooting. Of course the game is the same every year its BASEBALL so its going to be a BASEBALL game. There's only so much you can do to change it. If you were actually a baseball fan you wouldn't complain about a company trying their best you would understand that not everything can be perfect-perfect.

Dude, do you purposefully scroll thru here everyday to catch someone who asking about players that need updates and it just ruins your day. Stop replying to this guy’s posts, we’ve established you don’t care about realism and don’t play franchise we get it, well some of us do play franchise and when players that have been in the league for awhile still look like random made up people, it is lazy and takes away from the game we purchase to enjoy, just like you. The face scan argument is also ridiculous, are you trying to say they cannot update Garrett Crochet, guy is an ace and is looking so incredibly wrong, and they just roll same model out as last year with not a scrap of new commentary for him. We are not wanting the wheel reinvented, we would like more care and attention put into it and perhaps SDS could pretend that franchise players very much do exist and we are easily satisfied when the top players in each organization are updated more than tri-annually.

Dude....the game is literally unplayable if someones sideburns arent long enough or someones eye color doesnt match their real life counterpart. Max Scherzer has two different colored eyes. Imagine how much worse this game would be if he had TWO blue eyes?

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN yeah you’re a clown! I’m talking about the massive list of players missing face scans. Most have been playing for a couple years . I added some players that need an update. It’s unplayable bc if you try to edit the pitchers without face scans they’re all bugged. Go try to change the velocity of Ben Joyce’s change up. Literally any player without a face scan. All will be 84 mph. Plus every other pitch tops out at less than people with a face scan. Ben Joyce throws 100+ not 94-96. If you play DD that’s fine! Idk why it bothers you that I want face scans for the hundreds of players missing them. We play for a realistic baseball experience and this isn’t it. Go play your card game brotha. I’m glad u enjoy it! I wish I could say the same.

@trfatboy22_PSN only so much you can change? You’re the reason why they recycle this game. You accept the absolute minimum every year. Zero effort to change or add anything to this game. They made this engine back in 2012 or something for last gen. You’re talking about how much can they change? How much time do u have? (Clearly a lot bc you comment on all my posts) I could go on forever about minor things they could do to make this game better. You play DD and I’m glad u think it’s a great game. I wish I could say the same. I don’t think adding a couple animations every year is a lot of effort. We’ve had next gen for years and the game is basically the same every year. I’m glad you enjoy it. I don’t, and idk why that bothers you so much. It seems like every time they try to update their rosters they mess something up. Ex. They had Oscar Gonzalez’s face scan last week now it’s gone.

Not everyone plays the game the same way. I don’t play H2H online against people. I play franchise to relax after work and I’m not worried about rosters or attributes I just want face scans of younger guys so it doesn’t turn into a league of players without face scans so fast. I usually restart when it gets to that point.

Face Scans lol this is not the NBA with 500 players and consistent lineups. Face Scans probably just maybe they need the Actual player to come to the studio to get it done but it is funny to me you think SDS or any studio would do face Scans on most players in MLB and the Minors just not realistic
edit also your list is mostly players that just got to the show lol crazy.

The very least they could do for the graphics is add guys who have been playing for a couple/few years. It’s not “crazy” to want the top prospects in the game. You’re delusional if you think this is the best they can do in 2025!!!! It’s next gen and yall are still glazing them over the same recycled game every year on an engine they made over a decade ago. What hitting view are you using where you can see the faces of the guys in the box?
