Small ball Egg Hunt mission help?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to complete this egg hunt task. I’ve been playing mini seasons, and I have done the following:
- hit a sac fly for a run
- made a sacrifice bunt to advance a runner to 2nd base
Neither of those seem to count?? I don’t know what’s going on. Does it need to be a sac bunt for a run??

I did mine in the mini season where can win C.C. Sabathia. Someone else mentioned try in both types mini season if one is not working. I’ve never attempted bunt before. Always steal then sac fly. But no, doesn’t have to score run. Just advance runner. Keep trying you’ll get it. Are you hearing the announcer say sacrifice? Wonder if it’s how the ball comes off bat determines if sacrifice. I held bunt button before ball got there and ball went between first and second and was using Wade Boggs with Jeter on first. So maybe a lefty helps?

Ok, there is a height requirement for this task. I don’t know exactly what it is, something like shorter than 6 foot. I did mine with someone who is 5’10”. It’s a sac bunt, meaning the runner moves over and the batter gets out. I would recommend just putting together a short lineup, do it in the regular mini season and you’ll be good to go!

I believe the player's height plays a roll. Load up a roster of dwarfs and try it. The LF from Houston should get it done.

@LadySwampfox_XBL yes i do remember that but haven’t noticed it anymore like SB Champs mentioned. You may wanna try turning back on so you’ll know pulled it off. And try lefty batter and don’t have to start runner. Good luck hope you get it.

Sac bunted to advance a runner, and the announcers were praising the small ball strategy (they said the two words, verbatim) but game still didn’t count it.
God I wish there was an in game tracker for this.

@LadySwampfox_XBL only other thing is try the other mini season like another said on here. That worked for them. If you’ve already tried that, then dang wish have just made it a sac fly.

I also believe you have to hold the bunt button before the pitch is delivered, don’t try to drag bunt, thats not a sacrifice, that’s an attempt to get on.

Does the runner or the batter have to be shorter than 6’?

@MrNintendo_MLBTS also, you did finish the game right after hearing announcers? Quitting the game could cancel it out possibly. I completed the game.

@LadySwampfox_XBL I believe you have to have a runner on 2nd, bunt to advance them to 3rd and get thrown out at first.

I just tried sac bunting with a runner on first, and it said “score that play: sacrifice 1-3” and it STILL didn’t give me the task completion

@LadySwampfox_XBL that’s so weird; I did it first day and didn’t even bother with height (didn’t know at that time, nor do I remember who I used).
It’s silly but worth a shot; can you easily clear your cache on Xbox? Takes 2 minutes on PS5.
