Why do some players have such glitchy swings? Guys like Alomar always play way above stats. It is like its swing is the hidden stat.

Once you face better pitchers, you'll probably be singing a different tune. He doesn't have the power or speed this year. Same goes for Gywnn. If you want a "glitchy swing", you need Sheffield.

He plays above his numbers. There's lots of them. Adalberto Mondesi is another. Just a lot better than he looks on paper.

Terrible advice right here. Gwynn os batting .373 for me in about 80 RS games. Alomar is at. 280 and he is usually my best hitter every year. Gwynn 99 will be the one to get. Sheffield swing is mediocre and very long. I like two handed swingers. Sheffield is a one handed

How is that terrible advice? I'm the complete opposite. Gwynn is hitting .275, while Sheffield (.400) can hit to all fields with power. If there is going to be a 99 Gwynn, he better have better power numbers.

The shorter more compact swing allows for you to pull the ball more and utilize his power. Same with Mondesi, Larkin, etc. if they have around 60 power, the only way to get higher EVs is to pull the ball. That’s what I’ve noticed, and I think SDS did a stream about it prior to release.

So just swing earlier or is it more PCI related?

It has always been this way. I forgot which year it was but I remember the low-diamond Live Series Corey Seager used to mash for like everyone and it was pretty universally known that the 99 overall Cal Ripken Jr. was a trash can. Heck, this year I'd swear that the ball just jumps off Matt Olson, Jimmy Rollins, and Gary Sanchez's bats like crazy.
