Lack of Diamonds in Show packs

I went a long time without diamonds almost 400 packs. But I can say since Thursday I’ve pulled a ton. I’m down to Soto, Ohtani, betts, Acuna, Sale, Witt and JRam. I knock off the lower priced ones so next it will be Sale and Acuna. All free packs. I can honestly no longer complain. Do I feel there is an issue…yes. But I still won’t spend money on stubs

I'm in a similar position. For Beltran I'm missing:
-Shohei
-Soto
-Lindor
-Ketel
-Harper -
It’s really strange so many players are going thru something similar. If it was truly random I don’t believe it would run so hot and cold. Not saying there is shady stuff going on but I’m sure SDS is fully aware of how much each of us plays the game, the number of packs we’ve opened, and what diamonds we are pulling. The dry spells have to be somewhat by design to keep us engaged and possibly spend real money either on packs, stubs or both. After a while they have to toss us a few diamonds or we might just walk away completely. Again not saying it’s totally rigged but I am saying SDS is ultimately in control at the end of the day.

I just generally don't trust larger or even medium sized companies. Their only goal is to increase profits. And they will do anything (legal or easy to cover up illegal) to maximize profits.
And again people freak out when I compare Sony/SDS to 2K. I know 2K is worse. But I've been pointing out little things SDS is now doing that they hadn't been doing other years. They are trending towards more micro transactions and more of a 2K model.
I've never spent money on stubs. Not once. But I admit this year lately it's crossed my mind. I know that's what Sony/SDS wants though so I still refuse to do it. But I wonder how many former NMS players will give in to the temptation this year and start buying stubs.

Yeah it’s clear they are trending that way. The last 2 years have raised some yellow flags. I still enjoy the game but nowhere near as much as I did in 20, 21 or even 22. 23 and 24 were huge steps back for me and this year with all the strange glitches and lack of pack luck it has already left a bad taste in my mouth in record time. I truly hope things turn around because right now I’m souring pretty fast.

It’s laughable. I hate to beat a dead horse. But getting almost bad enough to stop playing. I play online to get all these packs as rewards and I get no diamonds. Not one. So discouraging.
All I get is bats and retro stadiums. I wish those weren’t included in the pack odds lol

I had a few extra stubs so I bought a 50 pack bundle and pulled 1 diamond. I was hoping if I didn’t get one of the big live series diamonds I could at least make my money back. Not even close. I lost big.
I gave up on buying packs a long time ago and just grind for the free packs. My biggest gripe this year is it seems much harder to accumulate stubs than years past.

It’s not “so many players”, it’s that the players who feel like there’s a conspiracy in the packs are the loudest. Generally, you don’t see posts like “Diamond luck is crazy good!” or anything like that. It’s always “Why do packs suck so bad?!”.
I spend no money on the game outside of the initial early access price. I refuse to buy stubs, and I refuse to buy packs with stubs I’ve earned. I am very content with the diamonds I’ve pulled. I had better results last year (pulled two Ohtani’s first weekend last year), but nothing this year has screamed “SDS is just a money making greedy corporation!!!” (I mean… they are, but what company isn’t?).
Everyone just needs to realize that odds are what they are, and for every person that’s pulling no diamonds, someone else is pulling three trouts, two Ohtanis, and a JRam. They just don’t post about it.

And people having bad luck often exaggerate it.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN Technically not true. $500 is about what Ohtani and Judge cost as a pair right now. As I type, it’s about $450 worth of stubs, so you could get another 75k stub player with those 2.

Diamond Players should be the only thing that count towards the odds. Diamond jerseys, icons, and whatever else should not. Its a joke that i know when I pull anything but a player. My luck is done.

I hear what your saying. I get one of those non player diamonds I never pull any players. I get that the odds 1 in 50 and i usually build up to 50. But jeeZ. Glad i stopped giving them my money.

I couldn’t imagine spending more money on the game. Have never bought a stub. When DD started and my friends started buying stubs to get packs I just couldn’t do it. I started collecting irl baseball cards and have built quite the collection over the past 9 years.
On topic, I have pulled 3 Martes a Judge and tons of other diamonds this year just from grinding.

I've had pretty good luck pulling <90 diamonds, but no high diamonds. Best I've pulled have been the last 2 days - JRam and Tatis.
