This guy needs to be in the game yesterday! Not only is he catching for the Yankees and Dominican Winter League batting champion. His story is the best in baseball right now.
I also think Judges’s batting stance and rhythm during his stance needs upgrading along with the guys facial hair which was one of the other biggest stories in baseball this off-season.

If he isn’t there now then he won’t be there until they do a roster update. Facial hair stuff won’t be added unless each individual person goes and does a new facial scan.

@fubar2k7_PSN they do hair & facial hair updates throughout the season at random. Has been happening for years. Some players it happened to last season:
J. Holliday: hair length updated
G. Henderson: facial hair updated
C. Cowser: beard added
Anyone on the Yankees that come over via FA or trade and had their hair or facial hair updated
Vladdy: had dreads removed
T. Toussiant: dreads removed
J. Ramirez: updated facial hair
M. Garcia: dreads removed (I documented this one happening all the way in July)
P. Lopez: went from beard to just a goatee mid game
J. Boyle: hair length was updated
B. Harper: hair length was shortened
J. Chourio: beard added mid game
C. Holderman: had short hair all year and they finally updated it to long just for him to cut it all off in real life weeks later lol- a handful of others as well, just wanted to provide somewhat of a list for context. I’ll be sure to check frequently for any of this and tag you guys if and when any updates occur.

So a few things:
They don’t ever construct a list of players that receive updated scans, newly added scans, or anything like that. Essentially I made that a goal of mine since I have a passion for likeness updates and such. So myself or anyone else out there would be your only way of knowing who gets updated, or when a scan is newly added in.When they do these things it’s just completely at random and there never seems to be a rhyme or reason. There’s never a list of patch notes that tells you these things. I’ve just gotten good at digging through the rosters and finding this stuff over the years. Most usuallu comes out of the blue when they drop a roster update. I think they do player ratings updates every 2 weeks or so, so player likeness updates could come with those. Or sometimes you’ll see random roster updates just drop that update team transactions, free agent signings, trades, etc, etc.. and those likeness updates could come within those.

@akapaco159_PSN To conclude: they secretly update players without telling anyone or releasing lists to let us know. Which really sucks, but I’ve got that covered year round!

Roster updates for players added,roster moves and transactions happen weekly or so,the first one will be anywhere from Friday to Tuesday after opening day.
Facial features and other player edits happen randomly.
