I feel like too many people get the impression that every pitch that is in the strike zone is hittable for a home run. If a pitcher dots a low and away pitch just in the zone, it is more reasonable for a weakly hit ball, and even if its a perfect swing, it should be a low liner or ground ball. Recent years of the game have skewed the way people think real baseball because every swing could be a home run but that is not how baseball actually works.

I think most of the actual “user input” gameplay issues can be attributed to playing with silvers and golds. I think every year I’m always like “they changed hitting and pitching and now it sucks!” until I get a better team (and play for a week or so to get timing back). This year, it just seems worse because they didn’t really give us anywhere near the starting power we’ve had the last two or three years.
Now that my team is mainly diamonds (low teir) and high golds, and I’ve begun tailoring my team to suit my play style more, I’ve starting putting up the grind numbers I’m more familiar with. It just took a couple days longer than I hoped.
Time will heal most these wounds. Just be patient.

yup just like at launch last year

I would like to add:
- Buggy uniform customization (sometimes logos on custom away uniform show up on the custom home uniform)
- USA conquest map is split into three parts and is NOT repeatable for rewards. Really sucks cause I loved grinding that conquest map for the past 8 years. I'm hopeful for a repeatable conquest map to be added, but the repeatable full USA map was such a classic...

.pack drop rates seem even worse than last year
We now have the explicit pack rates down to the player. This ones in your head.
Really so are most of the hitting ones, game feels the same to me.
But I agree with Dolenz that the CPU defense seems better while ours is...not. Even considering the overall slower speed there are far fewer infield hits (not a complaint really, last year was too many) and the outfielders get the ball in a LOT better than last year. CPU catchers are thankfully still [censored] at throwing runners out
They changed the pack odds to 1:8 for the last few months of MLB TS24, since it’s a new game it’s reverted back to 1:50; this is why it feels worse.

They don’t need to all be center cut meatballs but the amount of dotting and nibbling just off the corners by bronze or worse pitchers on low difficulty is crazy. It should be a low stress, learn the game, get on and mash mode. Instead it’s a hunt your pitch and hope they don’t dot you up, just miss perfect, delayed swings, noodle bats, slog fest. Tried playing a couple games with my son and it was the opposite of fun. Again not asking for straight BP but they shouldn’t be dotting a player up, sinkers clipping the top of the strike zone, everything has extra run, hit hard foul balls or right at the defender, on repeat. Bottom line, more hittable pitches, more hits in general.
Thank you, this is all I'm asking for. I play MLB the show to relax after a day of work or running errands, it's not fun watching the cpu throw ball after ball just to dot the zone 3 times when it gets to a 3-0 count, I don't know who that's fun for.
I don't want easy pitches I just want something hittable so I can have a bit of fun.

You cant crush the ball like you could in years past because not everyone has 125 across the board.
Doesn't matter if it's 125 power or not. SDS has said a perfect should result in an out 1-20 times. A perfect is and out 6-10 times right now. Squared up good time is a line out 75% of the time. The perfect hitting and won't admit it. Just like the excuse that sliders away shrink the pci to help strikeout rate. No it's because they don't know how to fix it, because when they tried to in 24 the crashed the game for 24 hours. And before you go "but that's baseball durrrrrr", no this is a video game controls by numbers. The literal CPU is fouling off 42 pitches in a 9 inning game so far this year.

FYI, we are using cards with lower power rn guys. I agree that EVs are off rn but also if I got 59 pwr Bryson Stott lacing a ball at 96 and I was on it but not perfect, I get that.
-
Sinkers same side up and in do need a small patch, for some reason a guy with a 93sinker feels 10x harder then when that same guy throws 99 on my hands.

When did they ever say this? I'd love a link to this because as of now, im calling [censored].

Issues I’ve noticed that have carried over from last year. While playing Franchise, not being able to sub in players from the bench to bring in a faster runner. I go through the prompts and it won’t make the change and it’s possibly cost me games as I’m stuck with the slower runner late in games when I’ve gotten on base. Another is a certain player getting hurt and needing to be taken out of the game but it always makes me remove my DH who wasn’t the player involved in the play. After the game is over, the original player who actually got hurt is the one who goes to the IL but I still lose my DH for that current game.
The game and bugs will be fixed as some point but both of those issues were also there last year that I saw others bring up too

Why does oppents speed and stealing display for opponent but not for my team?

@Dinger_Dan19_PSN yes agreed we are but when exit velos on perfect are ranging from 92 to 110 and power rating isn't being a factor we have problems. When a pitch is 95 is squared up and leaves the bat at 92 for an easy line out. Or worse your pci shrinks on a slider even when they hang it down the middle and then you get punished for it with a 81 exit velo on a 13 pci rating is BS. Now don't get me wrong I'm loving the game, but people not admitting there are obvious issues that SDS is not addressing is a problem.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN they said it on the live stream in 23 and then when people quoted them they took the stream down. Just like they said pitching wasn't an issue and foul balls are working as intended. If they just admit there are problems they look better. But hey I get you probably work for them and are trying to defend them. But just admit that stuff is bugged and stop saying it's fine.

Where did i say everything was fine? I just asked a simple question. And i still call [censored] because you can't provide proof. If that was actually said, people in here who watch every stream would be quoting that every single time they get a perfect/perfect lineout to 3rd.
-
Why is the only thing people like you can say is "you must work for them"? I dont.
-
Maybe you're just trash at the game.

This starting happening to me in last year's game, put in a ticket and SDS never responded. I'm going to try a putting in a ticket again today. Maybe you should too.
