my complaints about mlb 25 the show so far
-
ill just get right to it. they are:
.”ground ball base hit to right field !” no man i grounded out, ITS A GROUND OUT !!! why does this keep happening ?
.pack drop rates seem even worse than last year
.ball physics. how many of yall have hit a ball off of the base bag and made an out ? ive lost count
.same reused voice lines. its a new game thats current gen so overhaul the voice lines !! im tired of “swung on and belted .. way back there, GONE !!”
️
.visuals arent impressive to me. they dont feel much different than recent years. it still feels like cross gen
.mlb 25: The lineout
.uploading stadiums into the vault is seemingly broken atm
.exit velos that would normally lead to home runs just lead to balls dying in the outfield
.the hitting feels different in general. i feel like i cant quite crush the ball like i could in years past
-
You cant crush the ball like you could in years past because not everyone has 125 across the board.

Just like @Easy_Duhz_It__PSN stated. We're in the Power Creep after playing with juiced cards.

One thing I feel like I am noticing is that the CPU seems to recover from bobbled fielding attempts and still throw out runners the majority of the time.
Meanwhile my players lollygag on those same plays and can't get anyone out.

I feel like outfield assists are nearly impossible unless you hit the blue line. I was playing the cpu earlier and had someone with 53 speed get a double on a flyball to shallow left because when i missed the blue line by a hair, my OF decided to give up on the play and lob it in to 2B

Cpu is still getting to the ball no matter if it a common, broze, gold or diamond cards. And they are still doing super man dives and running the ball down in the outfield like nothing. So much for making defense matter this year. And hitting feels way off to. And offline grind feels like a slug. And this is coming from someone who doesn't mind grinding for stuff but man the offline grind is crazy.

Defense matters for the player (us) this year because every card we're using is a trash fielder. Ive watched more routine grounders get past my infield while the cpu makes 90% of the plays with worse fielders.

We now have the explicit pack rates down to the player. This ones in your head.
Really so are most of the hitting ones, game feels the same to me.
But I agree with Dolenz that the CPU defense seems better while ours is...not. Even considering the overall slower speed there are far fewer infield hits (not a complaint really, last year was too many) and the outfielders get the ball in a LOT better than last year. CPU catchers are thankfully still [censored] at throwing runners out

Wyatt Langford is a God Amongst men in Left Field. The Mini Showdown in DQ against DeGrom is impossible to get anything by him

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m late swinging on just about everything. Consistently.

Ok, I'll bite. I've got...I dunno if they're complaints, but observations.
Contact angle vs result: Preface this by saying it could just be p!ss poor recreations in swing feedback...but the amount of times I've squared up a ball dead even with the top of the plate...it's resulting in hard pull, usually right at someone but that's not my argument. I've also had several occasions where I'm way too early, but it's resulting in balls hit the other way. This should probably be looked at
Contact vs result: Right now, it feels that anything that isn't a P/P is a lazy sub 80 mph squibber/lazy pop up. This isn't saying that everything should be a hit, I'm saying I'd like to see them maybe adjust exit velo closer to the mlb avg of around 89 mph, because I'm seeing sub 65 speed guys beating those out quite frequently.
Pitching: Cutters and Sliders are moving the exact same right now. A cutter needs to have a sharper, shorter, later break (cut) right at the end, not the same frisbee-like movement a good slider has. Changeups need a little less vertical break, 2FSB need a little more tail, right now they're almost the exact same as the 4SFB. I also kinda feel like the "miss" window is way too big, but admittedly that could be because I'm re-adjusting to having terrible pitchers as opposed to the 99's I had at end of 24's cycle.
Fielding: Still don't see the urgency from fielders, they still take their time throwing the ball(especially on DP turns), both vs cpu and online. Doesn't always cost me outs, but I'd still like to see that speed upped a bit.
Desynching issues: Seeing lots of base-stealers out by a country mile being called safe, and tons that are already standing up being called out. Would like to see SDS look into some more stability for the servers

The audio stuff is crazy to me that anyone hears this stuff I haven't played MLB the show with the volume up in 4 years.

We will complain about having 99's, we will complain about not having 99's....

@ace_hardlight28_PSN honestly, ground ball base hit to right field is my #1 issue LOL
-
My biggest gripe right now(it's a minor gripe) is trying to learn this years hitting using silvers and golds and facing all these diamond pitchers everywhere.
not that it can't be done ,but it's making it more difficult than it needs to be for just starting out -
Has anyone had an issue with check swings when you didn't check swing. I know this has always been a thing in the past, but wow I feel like it is way worse this year. I haven't played any ranked yet and only a handful of event and BR so I'm not sure if it's the same issue online, but in my offline grind I feel like it's happening a couple of times a game. To make matters worse the swing timing is perfect or good just about every time it happens.

@Cubsfan217_XBL yeah that’s it. Bunch of cry babies
-
@LIONED-33_XBL so if you own a company and your customers were complaining about your products you would call them a bunch of cry babys. No because your company would go under fast.

@Cubsfan217_XBL This forum is for discussion and constructive criticism. Not nitpicking and complaining regardless of what SDS does. Which unfortunately is how many people use it.
