Can you link your account prior to purchasing game?

Played the last few seasons on XBox. Planning to buy Playstation this year. Trying to link my show account to my PSN account so it's ready to go next week but only option I see is via in game code which I can't get yet. Is it possible to link my the show account to my PSN account prior to purchasing the game on Playstation?

There’s no reason to link before getting your PS5. It only takes a minute to do it. You’ll need copies of the game for both consoles. I have a post that is a few years old that explains the process. If you want me to dig it up, let me know (or you can do a search under my username for it).
You’ll need to decide which console you want as your primary, and that is the console platform for the deluxe version, if you’re planning on buying it. The other console should be the standard edition.
