Foul balls haven't been an issue since they fixed it earlier on in the game, so it's a you thing

Not even close. But i dont swing at nonsense out of the zone or in the dirt and expect it to be a hit every time.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN What is your trick to know what is a good pitch to swing at, versus, a bad pitch? No matter what 8 do, I can't seem to fully grasp the zone in time. I have used numerous of strike zones and my timing is definitely off.

Muscle memory for timing, actual memory of prior results to know which pitches to smash and which seem good but are traps,

Thats not to say that i dont take bad swings now and then but after nearly 20 years of playing The Show, you tend to pick up on things. I learned a long time ago that sometimes you have to take a good pitch to get a better one. Just because its in the zone doesnt mean you should always swing. If its close, more often than not its gonna be a ball.
Really, you have to pick it up early on release and follow the trajectory of the ball. I know its easier said than done and it appears to be moving fast but when you see it enough, you just know.
Go into batting practice and, as boring as it sounds, just watch pitches for awhile. You'll get it eventually.

Ehhh for human players maybe...CPU still fouls off a ridiculous amount, to be fiar
