XBX or PS5?
-
I still haven't decided if I'm buying 25 or not, but if I do, I need to decide whether to get it for PS5 or XBX. I'm leaning toward XBX. I think both the deluxe digital and standard digital (between the PS5 and XBX) have the same extras.
I'm up to the Roberto Clemente Day program, and I got the message that 24 is being removed from Gamepass on 3/15, so I decided to finish the program on my PS5. It's been a while since I've even turned on the PS5, so there were some updates to do.
The game feels and looks the same, but the controllers are different. I use a Fusion Pro 2 on the XBX and a Dualsense on the PS5. I prefer the Fusion controller over the Dualsense. It fits in my hand better, and the sticks are stiffer. That's pretty much why I'm leaning toward the XBX version (if I even buy the game). It comes down to the controller.
Any other thoughts out there on differences between the consoles, controllers, or game versions?

I have both. Games runs the same on both. I don’t like Xbox controller at all for this game. Thumb placement is weird to me. Thumb is more up than straight across and I do t seem to get to all parts of the plate with Xbox controller. Just fyi

usually buy both games since I get it free on gamepass and buy for ps5 later. but this year no gamepass.
game has been exactly the same on both consoles except for RTTS the PS5 controller has the outfielders yelling where to throw the ball thru the ps5 mic.
I probably will buy on XB first since I am use to the controller for this game. I do better with using the xb controller over the ps5 for the past games.

This is the only extra money I spend on the game. I get digital deluxe on both and then a physical copy for my switch.

In the past, I've purchased the digital deluxe for my PS5, bought a standard edition for my Switch, and played the Gamepass version until the game was deeply discounted (usually, the end of the year), and then bought the XBX version so I could keep playing it on that console when I wanted to. I purposely didn't get two deluxe versions because the bonuses don't stack.
This year, if I even get the game, I will only buy one copy. Without it being on gamepass, I have to decide on the XBX or PS5 version.

EDIT: Never mind. I read your post incorrectly. I thought you were deciding between which system to buy. Now I think it reads like you've already got both systems but are just deciding which version of MLBTS25 to buy.
Carry on. Carry on.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo, I was at Costco last night and decided, "What the heck, I'll get some XBox gift cards." After all, their price is 10% below retail value, and I had my Costco reward certificates to use. But then, I remembered I have a lot of XBox reward points, so I redeemed some of those today and used half of the cards I bought from Costco.
The decision has been made; I bought 25 on XBX. I won't be playing it like in prior years, though. I doubt I will finish any of the innings, seasons, or whatever they are going to call the sections they break the game into. Any cards I don't get from those, I'll get at the end of the year.

I've never played a full mlb the show that started with a power creep, definitely don’t know anything about innings in the game so I’m basically a new player in this game

Innings was basically the XP reward path but shorter. Lasts about a month. Rewards are pretty much the same. Packs, stubs, bosses etc.

Should be fun once I get the game on the 18th
