Losing Piazza would be a pretty [censored] big name too lose, and they didnt even give him a proper card all year.

This is so true. I was playing with ‘21 the other day just to use some players not in the game anymore like Olerud and Lofton and there are a ton of players who were phased out who had lukewarm cards all year.

The worse example was Kirby Puckett. A few years ago they had him in the game and released one card, probably an 87 overall, and then decided to not issue any more of his cards. Guy did some pretty bad things after his career but he had been dead for several years by this point so it made no sense. He was a fun player to watch when I was a kid. So was Lenny Dykstra but I understand phasing him out considering he is still alive and being a monster.

@theBlindRhino_PSN Peavy was similar. One year and no 99. That’s a massive blunder for whoever is in charge of content. But we get multiple 99’s of the same guys who are still active and going to be in the game for years to come. Makes zero sense. How can a whole team of people overlook this stuff.

There have been a bunch of random one-and-dones in recent years with Kirby Puckett, Frank Tanana, Heath Bell, Kirk Gibson, Jake Peavy, Jared Weaver, Ray Durham, Nick Swisher, Ryan Klesko, Adrian Gonzalez, Tino Martinez, Orlando Hernandez, etc.
