But there are too many 99s in this game.

SDS needs to go back to where getting a 99 was something special and should probably be reserved for HOF Legends and 'maybe' the Finest Series.

Go back to the Inning Formats. Go back to the slow power creep where the first few innings are 85s-89s, then 90s to 94s, then 95s-99s.

Yeah I've been on this train for a while, game is better when there arent so many of them. Early game when you have to use silvers, golds and low diamonds is always peak

I agree there are too many to the point where it becomes very redundant. Not everyone should have a 99.

There has to be a more balanced sweet spot between unlimited 99s and something like Immortals where it was way too hardcore.

If you actually track their attributes with a spreadsheet (I do - nerd!) you would see that a lot of these 99s are way worse or way better than a standard 99.

I actually think they should have less 99s but start making 100-110s.

A P5d or even a base Extreme Acuna is WAY better than most of these so-called 99s.

Agreed. There’s just too many cards.

Ya but the game this year is 99s. Hopefully 25 is better and fixed but for this year. More 99s plz.
If quirks were different based on how a card played in that moment, it may change the way people think they need 99s.

I am not sure where I fall in this discussion. On one hand I do think they hand out 99's a little too liberally to lesser players but I definitely remember how it was before innings with the slow creep. Before they flooded us with 99s people were making the following complaints.

    • There are so few options that all I face are cookie cutter teams. Everybody uses the same guys.
    • Why am I buying a game in March or April just for the opportunity of seeing my favorite team's best players and legends not get a 99 until 6 to 8 months later?
    • It's Sept or Oct why are we still getting 95s and 97s?

They are never going to please everyone no matter what they do and unfortunately none of our opinions is any more important than those who argued the above points.

The bottom line, and the point that none of us can know with 100% certainty, is what SDS sees on their end. Is the player retention throughout the season and into the later months better or worse than it was before? Is the current system making SDS/Sony more money on microtransactions? If they are seeing equal or greater player retention and are making more money then there is little incentive for them to go back to a slower season-less power creep.

There is the vocal minority (maybe?) that complain very loudly whenever there are cards that arent the absolute top tier card release.

You see it every TA release. 'None of these cards make my team'.

And then just look at the amount of people that play in shield woods, or use clown fields in offline play. They seem to prefer the NBA Jam arcade style anyway, so might as well make everyone 99+

I've always desired something similar to a ranked mode but with roster restrictions (e.g. ceiling on team overall), kind of like online rated but with realistically rated legends cards; however, I have no idea how they'd stop people from studs & duds'ing their rosters since benches & back of bullpens have minimal importance.

As it is now, how can a guy like Lenyn Sosa be a better---much better---contact and clutch hitter than Willie Mays and a lot of other legends? It gets kind of goofy after awhile.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN the HOF Willie Mays card is the worst HOF card in the show. Not sure why his stats are so little, and why can't some of the negro leaguers who are in the HOF ACTUALLY GET HOF CARDS!

OH and those same negro leaguers could actually get quirks too you know!
