If the world series ended today

The umpiring in some of the mets games was atrocious.
I dont believe it was biased, but it was the first time I truly considered that maybe we should ditch humans ball/strike calls -

Yankee fan tears/excuses are already flowing?
Hey, you guys know first hand it's possible to come back from a 3-0 series deficit (2004) so keep the faith! Lol.
I don't know if it is tears of a Yankee fan or not but I do kind of agree that they umpires should be chosen based on their in season performance.
There is currently no incentives for bad umps to actually try and improve.

What the hell makes you think I'm a Yankees fan?

Because somehow you made the "Big Story" of the WS the umpiring, which I haven't heard anyone else say.

im a yankee fan and ill openly state that there have been numerous bad calls on both sides that largely impacted the games. will smith with the bases loaded and gleybers last at bat alone are huge ones last night

Then clearly you haven't been paying attention to the real games! LOL!!
The poor umpiring in this WS has been a repeated topic of focus and attention. At least Carlson had the wisdom to call the batter out when those two Yankees fans literally ripped the ball out of Betts' glove after he caught it at the right field baseline. So, he got that call entirely correct.

I'm with you there.

There are hundreds of articles readily available online talking about the worst umpires in MLB. There are Instagram pages dedicated to highlighting missed calls in every game and ranking umpires from the worst to the least worst.
Its not really a stretch to say that MLB should be reviewing these missed calls, the frequency and the impact they have on the game, and giving the postseason spots to the ones who can handle it.

Fair enough. I probably overreacted but I still think the OP's first post sounded more like excuse-making.
But I see where you guys are coming from now.

I think Volpe might get a card after that grand slam, turned yesterday’s game around.
