Why is Johnny Cueto 1M Stubs
-
@yurmyboyblue_PSN I’m with you, I get limited supply, but what is the demand for these million stub cards? You can put together a whole team of 99s pretty much for free, or at least less than a mil.
I mean if you have to complete a set, maybe? Whatever though, spend your stubs however you want, just seems odd?

I hope SDS does rewind packs in Season 4 to get the price of some of these cards down.

@chekmate_13_PSN Yeah, supply is one thing, and honestly, it's best to look for deals, like if the person let's say meant to put a card (example a 99 Randy Johnson) for 100k, but didn't type in the last 0 so it's 10k. Some people do make those mistakes, and I've taken advantage of it on 21, buying one of the cards in the innings packs so I have a better thought on 50/50 rather than 1 of 3.

The Cueto card will likely be available again in s4 but might not ever come down from 1m
Youll have to slog your way through BR for who knows how long to get it. If you arent a good hitter mode sucks balls to go through, which is why those cards are so high in the first place.

Hopefully in season 4 they release vault packs like crazy so these cards come back into circulation

That's what they did last year with the Forever Program.

They need to release a new Cueto soon or Season 1 Vault packs.
The Cueto card is only a Hyper, so they could still give him a Finest.
Cueto is one of my favorite pitchers and it's a shame I've had absolutely no chance to use him in this game. I also bet he's retiring soon and we'll lose him.
Kicking myself for not buying him when he was 250K.

@Teak2112_MLBTS The real question is is it that good a card to pay a premium for? The way I looked at the card stats, I didn't think so.

If you have all the other cards... yes.
-
A lot of times cards go up that high in value when they become the hardest to obtain.
In card games with a massive market and ways to manipulate it, it isn't always about its gameplay value but it's difficulty of obtaining. You could have a card that's banned and unplayable from any regulated game but because it is no longer printed or usable in competitive play it will always hold value for personal play and rarity. -

Thats not what drives card value though. While some fan favorite players may have a slightly inflated value, in general its all about how rare the card is.
Wagner was the better card at their release but the value has been pretty similar between the two throughout.
