Grinding strategy

What is your general method for grinding? I guess an obvious is to keep as many 99s in your lineup as you can and be sure to include some Topps Now's, since those seem to be needed in grinding up.

But I would appreciate any suggestions.

Yup, depends on what your end goal is. Imo yjust do whatever you like cause you get xp from everything except casual modes and friendly modes.
Ranked, BR, and events are good for online.
I've heard conquest, mini seasons, and programs are good offline.
I don't have the time to grind outside of the 1-2 game modes I actually like and I find i get decent XP and parallels from the ones I play and I finished my Live series collection so I just don't stress anymore.
I would recommend read the cards you want from certain programs and stack your team with cards that help you in your TA completions.
Honestly, the game isn't that bad just playing however you want. There are absolutely some try hard grinds you can do but you may grow tired of the game that way. Just play what you want and if there are certain cards just do what their programs require to get them.
