Base Stealing

Is it me, or is there a delay with runners stealing bases? I have seven batters with max attributes for stealing and every time I steal, I get caught. I’m literally stealing the base two seconds before the pitcher releases. I should have the steal. Instead, I noticed there is a delay before running. As if my elite base stealer has no attributes for stealing. Has anyone else come across this delay?

@Punk-Rocker19958_PSN There are some good YouTube videos on it, but the best way is: Point the left joystick towards the runner you want to steal and press L2. Then press L1 as the pitcher starts his delivery.
