It's a Good choice. His best card is a Set 2 89 overall captain card.
In the last month, from Aug 10th to Sept 10th Fangraphs shows him as
2nd in HRs (tied with 3 others)
1st in Runs scored
5th in RBIs
And tied for 4th in WARThe players ahead of him in WAR during that period were
- Lindor (Already got a 99 Season Award card)
- Judge (Already has a 99 Season Award card) (and a 99 All Star card)
- Bobby Witt Jr (Already got a lightning card) (also has a 99 HR Derby card)
Eugenio Suarez should be right there in the running and may get a card but even he has a 99 prime card already.

Carroll is cool. I felt like I was one of the only people who liked his 99 card last year. Apparently everyone hates his swing but I liked it haha.

I don't get the Schwarber votes. He could get a card for the lead-off HR milestone but they would not make that a lightning card. Looking at the Carrol card they went between 8/7 and 9/1
In that date range Schwarber hit .177 with only 4 HRs.
3 of those HRs actually happened on Aug 7th. He hit only 1 HR the rest of the month. -

I don't mind it either. It's not an amazing swing but good enough that I look forward to trying him out.
Now, that Brenton Doyle Lightning got no playing time. Hate his swing.

As a Reds guy, I’m hoping Ty France gets a card in the SA pack. He’s been really good since the trade, and especially good these last few weeks.
