For the first time ever

At 4:15am EST I hit the XP cap.
That is the first time EVER that I've hit it.
It's stating that for the next 6 hrs and 45 mins; I won't earn any gameplay XP.
Good thing I was planning on stopping now anyway. And good thing that I won't be able to play, due to OT and PT, until after 1pm EST.
Penalty will end at 11am EST.

Were you playing all offline or did you play online too because I feel like you hit the cap faster if you play online

Since my favorite goal of playing this game is paralleling players, I hit the cap almost everyday.
Playing CPU on Rookie at a tiny ballpark, I hit the cap after just 2-3 games. Crazy. But I guess that's what happens when you average 30-40 runs scored per game. Lol.

It really doesn't make sense to encourage people to log off and play a different game, or do something different in general. Seems counter productive.

@creeder21_MLBTS Every time I hit the cap, I stop playing. Why continue when I can’t earn what I work for? Find a different wait to gate keep the bosses like they do with the ranked path. At a minimum, they need to drastically increase the cap, at least double it.

I'm the same way. When that message pops, I am done. Thankfully, it has only happened a couple times this season, mostly when I play the CPU on rookie trying to parallel or some mission requirement for a program. I mostly play Events, BR, and ranked this year. I don't think they should gate keep the bosses at all. It makes zero sense. You aren't getting a massive statistical advantage by gaining the bosses early. I have had the far superior team on paper, playing a team, and gotten smoke checked because my opponent was better at the game. Earning the bosses soonest, and being able to utilize their card is one of the most fun parts of the game. The longer it takes, the more it just feels like a grind versus enjoying the card and paralleling it.

@creeder21_MLBTS I completely agree. Part of the fun is being the first. If someone wants to grind day and night to get there first, let them.

Hit the Cap twice this year. Been Finished with the XP Path since before TA 2.3 Dropped. Collections done probably 2 weeks before that. I've stopped playing cause there's nothing to do that can't be completed in a few days. I've just been running CPU games with Set 1 and 2 theme teams for Schitz and Gigs.

They said in season 3, the cap is doubled.

I completed th XP track on my main account and NEVER hit the cap.
Hit it on the second account by only playing a handful of Conquest games and a bunch of Moments.
Weird.

I came so close to being the first guy to P5 the Captain Marcus Stroman last year...I some dude who probably works swing shift beat me by a few hours. I went to bed nobody had got it yet, woke up and fired the game up to hammer out a game before heading to work...and someone beat me to it.
