You get in to a game, and your opponent has all cards over a .450 average and more than 3-4 parallel 5 and then proceeds to hit every ball in the zone and let every close pitch go for a ball? Do you stay in there and be batting practice for the person to pad stats or do you leave?

I had two games in a row today that I didn’t last 3 innings. Felt I was mixing pitches really well but it seemed like the guy was standing behind me looking at my screen knowing what pitch was being thrown next! Haha!

I’ve been up to around 550, then lost like 5-6 in a row, went down to 450, won a game or two and then got it HANDED to me 495! Oh well. Trying to grind TA sucks

You try different strategies, different locations different speeds etc,and if they don't show any vulnerability then you tip your cap and move on to the next one.

Didn't need to read past the first paragraph to tell you I just quit. It's not worth the time and it's only going to [censored] you off. Video game should be challenging and sweaty at times but you're not going to get better just getting your [censored] beat and getting mad. If the game doesn't even last 3 innings cause they are 5+ running you an inning you're not going to gain any less or more exp by simply quitting and starting over. By all means if you wanna tough it out and try to become a new level of being with patience and enlightenment stick through the game and try to come back. But it's never been worth it for me as far as xp gain or skill improvement.

You have a better chance at queuing back up and finding an appropriate match.

I'm fine with them being better and learning from that. But if it's like a toddler pitching to Barry Bonds what are you really benefiting from? I believe it is an absolute myth that you learn anything from getting decimated pitch after pitch. When the opponent is just that good there isn't a SINGLE pitch you're going to get across without it being contested. You just have to throw the best pitch you can and hope it doesn't get smacked.
The highest levels of play are almost always home runs derbies. Lower levels of play are unbalanced and can go anywhere. It's far more common to see a high rated game go 15-15 in the first 5 innings than it is to see them go 3-3 competitively. Watch streamers.

I think we not only share similar ratings but almost the exact same experience in ranked altogether. I know I've improved on pitching cause I hit more perfects than not when using pinpoint regardless of difficulty. I practice on legend before joining ranked queue. My batting sucks.
The matchmaking system is not good at all and people easily take advantage of that.
I turned off cross play and it's infinitely better. Idk if doing that for Xbox is as beneficial though since most hacking and glitch abuse comes from Xbox.

@Dookie-Possum_XBL You will only get better playing those games … Try different stuff and see where the weaknesses of your opponent lie. If you do not find them, try harder … that is what I do.

I would give them so much money if Charlie Sheen was in the game.

It’s tough, I try tunneling, funneling everything. Throwing the same spot from 100-85 and they just see it. I don’t mind a mercy but that’s 4th and after. I allow 6 in the first with only one out!

It really gets to a point when it's about who hits better. That's just the way it is. He hits 6 homers, you need to hit 7. There's not always something you can do to pitch better. If it's in the zone it's going to be swung at.

Man up and play the game. You win some, you lose some. But you live. You live to fight another day.

I get that … but still: you learn something. But I can also understand, if you just quit being down 6 runs in the first. I would a) not recommend and b) not do it personally 🙂
