Babe Ruth should be eligible for the Verlander No-Hitter Captain boost
-
Babe Ruth should be eligible for the No-Hitter (Verlander Captain) boost. I opened a ticket with SDS regarding this issue last night after doing some research and the story is kind of cool and part of baseball history in more than one way.
On June 23rd, 1917 Babe Ruth started a game and walked a batter. He argued balls and strikes with the umpire. Ernie Shore was brought in to pitch as his replacement. The runner that Ruth walked was thrown out trying to steal second base and Ernie Shore no hit the Senators for the next 26 outs. Up until 1991 this game was credited to Mr. Shore as a perfect game. In 1991 MLB changed the ruling and both Babe Ruth (0 IP) and Shore (9 IP) were credited for the first combined no hitter in MLB history.
So Ruth should be eligible since he is the most interesting story of any no-hit game in MLB history. There is more to this story so interesting. I provided the link below, enjoy.

@fellspointguy_MLBTS I already put a ticket in for this, Palmer and Cain. They fixed Cain and didn’t even give me a reason for not including the other 2 that clearly fit the criteria.
-
Awesome, Cain threw a perfect game too. I know oversights happen, but there have been so few no-hitters and perfect games compared to likeness rights in the show that it isn't a very hard list to verify.
-
@fellspointguy_MLBTS What annoys me is they acknowledged my ticket, told me Cain would be added and didn’t even address the other 2.
-
Even the show zone website shows them as part of the boost.
-
What Attributes would it even boost on him? No interest in pitching with him lol
-
@chuckclc_MLBTS More importantly, it would count towards the number of people needed for each tier by playing him the field.
-
We'll be adding Jim Palmer and Babe Ruth to the no-hitter captain after tomorrow's content deployment.
-
@CBrev47_MLBTS Thanks CBREV, will Matt Cain be in there given that he threw a perfect game?
-
Matt Cain is already eligible for the boost.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN ahhhh, true, true
