It's kind of annoying....

Its kind of annoying when you are trying to build a theme team for a team and they release cards for players that played for the team and they are never for the team you actually want to build a team for. Then they release a better version of a card, but it's the captain so you can't even put it on the theme team. Idk why there aren't multichems on cards or a way to "upgrade" your captain card by combining the new card released with the captain.

Seems pretty simple to me.
They want Colorado Fans to want a Colorado version of Arenado while also wanting St. Louis fans to want a St. Louis version.
If Both Colorado and St. Louis fans could use the same card then that is less content that they can release to entice people to play a program or buy a pack.

@Wildthingwilly Why can’t you put a captain on a theme team? Sure, you can’t use a double boost, but you can still use that card and it will still get the team boost. Having cards that work for multiple teams defeats the point of them being baseball cards and severely limits the amount of content they can produce. Theme teams will be better in the final season. Hopefully, we’ll actually be able to get all those captains by them. It’s not looking great at this point.

@Dolenz still annoying, for example I can't use a good casty card bc he has no good phillies card. Wagner just got a card for the braves, doesn't fit the theme team. Ashburn got a card, but he's my captain. Jt hasn't gotten a season 2 card so for now I'm using posada which is a sin bc a Yankee on a phils theme team haha

@Wildthingwilly Too be fair, you don’t need every card to be an actual Phillies card to get the max boost. If the card is good enough without the boost just use it, like the Wagner card.

The Best two Matt Holliday cards (come friday) will be from Colorado
The Best Arenado card is a Colorado card.
The Best Jim Edmonds Card is an Angel
The only McGwire card card currently is an A's card. -
The season awards castellonos is a good card. Best part is that he is set 2

Casty is a Phillies card so you should be able to boost him

I've been using LS JT,he might be only gold but with the Phillies captains he is 87/85 vs R and 115/90 vs L(p4).
put him with seranthony/devers and he is 72/100vs R and 100/ 105 vs L.
he rakes. -
