I like the idea of a Traded series of cards BUT

I really don't think they belong in the Season Drops. Having Arozarena and Chisholm Traded cards in the Season Drops just takes the opportunity for a card away from a player whose performance actually warranted it. And before people argue about it, these cards are Traded Series cards and do not mention their performances. Jazz's first few games would fall under next weeks Topps Now cards (I guess he won't get one now)
These guys took the place of someone like Brent Rooker who batted .391 in July with 11 HRs and 30 RBIs. Why is he nowhere to be found?
Next week will the whole program and pack be full of traded series cards or is that honor only go to the SDS Pet Players and favorite teams?
Will we have Tommy Edman, Jack Flaherty, Tommy Pham, Michael Kopech, Tanner Scott, Isaac Paredes, Zach Eflin, etc....

I get what you’re saying for sure. I noticed they had a draft card in last week’s - it’s as if the season awards drops should be called “this week in baseball”
Also how does Burlson still not have a card other than LS?

I mean the only answer I can think of is he is not a Yankee.
The person who really got screwed was Rooker. He killed it in July!

Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing what they did with Rooker. They definitely dropped the ball on that one.

I think 'TWIB' may still be unavailable, due to copyright issues, but that would be the perfect name.
Giving Rooker his props would've been an injection of positivity, that I'm sure would've pumped up A's fans that meed a boost. 20 games under .500, and a departing team can't be fun. -
It's no secret I absolutely hate what they have done with Topps Now and monthly awards.
The trade series really takes the place of Topps now, not monthly awards so not stealing Rooker's spot (unless he has a Topps Now cards)

Technically I think they are actually Topps Now card but they are not given for any performance. Meanwhile guys who probably deserved to get those spots were ignored

I don’t know they only have like 5 spots to pick each week I’m fine with them throwing in a Randy or Jazz instead of the next toppps now of a random dude that got his first hit for the Guardians or a monthly awards for a guy who broke the Twins Franchise record with 2 consecutive hits in his teams first Thursday day game in July or whatever it is they come up with

But they dont have only 5 spots. They can put however may they want.

It would be a good idea to atleast add all the players that got moved and make them 97s and 98s because this way people don’t jump from 89s to 95s then jump from 95s to 99s. If it’s a power creep then creep not jump.

Chafin was in a Rangers uniform on one card. Didn't say traded on it.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I like the idea, but maybe it didn’t belong in the season award path. Give us a new program.
-
is it an actual series? Because it says Tops Now in the top corner...may just be unique card art for TN series......

Nah, I admitted a few posts back that they were Topps Now cards but I still hate the idea of giving any of these players high 90's cards simply because they were traded. If they wanted to give Jazz a card for how he performed in one of those first few games then fine, but a card simply for being traded.
I still believe that there were players whose performances warranted those 2 Topps now opportunities ahead of Jazz and Arozarena, but in the end I have to remember that SDS is trying to keep the most fans engaged and is not as concerned with being fair.
