They won it last year and this year 2K took a huge step back so likely they win again this year and personally I feel it’s well deserved.

While I am happy for those at SDS who do what they can, with what they have... this award means little to sports gamers. It's not like the sports gaming industry is anything special these days. The competition for this award is like a lot of political elections -- Horrible vs Terrible. -

So according to the nominees Soccer and WWE were the biggest competition to MLB The Show 23. They don't include racing games and the genre is about all extinct lmao. It's literally the best worst game of the year!
SDS beats EA in micro transactions apparently. -

From a non DD perspective its an excellent game, its just the same as last year.
From an offline DD perspective it hard to believe just how far its fallen from last year.
At least online hasn't had content cuts like offline, although the lack of a single program of more than five cards since spring training impacts everyone.
