Linking Consoles

So, I tried linking my switch and it messed everything up. I lost all my progress. I tried unlinking and relinking and nothing is working. Tech support in this game is completely worthless. Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes, don't worry about losing progress. You didn't. I'll let someone else show you have to get it right since I didn't link this year and I am not near my console.

@theBlindRhino_PSN Yeah, I’m just frustrated that it’s been 3 days since this happened and tech support has no idea what they are doing. I still have all my stubs and inventory on the app.

It sounds like you are linking your other console as the primary account and not your switch (which is the console you have your progression on?). Linking only hides the sub account’s progress, it doesn’t remove it.
Unlink again, and when you relink MAKE SURE the account you choose to be your primary account is the one that has your progress.
If you’re still having problems after that, I’ll dig out my post from a couple of years ago that explains the correct way to link accounts.

I still check the forum every day to see if SDS has made positive changes to the XP progression. I stopped playing 24 (thus why you don’t see me posting on the current affairs of the game) because it was too frustrating, and went to 22. Now I’m having fun again.

Pretty sure you have to buy the game and you can just use the same account you use for 24.

@Blind_Bleeder_PSN It doesn’t seem to be unlinking properly. I will unlink. I’ve tried unlinking PS5 and switch. Whichever one seems to unlink both. When I relink it seems to link both even when I choose the one with all my progress it doesn’t seem to work. When I go on either console it doesn’t appear to be linked. When I try to link from the console it says it’s already linked to another console. I’m still able to see everything and even make transactions with the app. Nothing seems to fix it.

@Blind_Bleeder_PSN If my account isn’t fixed soon, I’ll be gone forever from this franchise. I submitted a ticket 3 days ago and they haven’t fixed it. Last I heard is they are forwarding it to someone else for further investigation or something. I’m about done.

@sbchamps17_NSW you don’t need to create an account each year. If you’re talking about your The Show account, it’s easiest to work with or create on their website (use a computer for best results).

You need to buy the game. That’s all. If you have the game, install it and play it. If you mean start over, then create a new profile on your Switch and play from that one.

That's hard for me because it won't take my email address or current Nintendo switch online access, it said that I need it all new which is crazy

@Blind_Bleeder_PSN I’ve had them linked before and it worked great last year. I think something is happening that isn’t working by design. I don’t even care about the switch at this point. I just want everything back on ps5 and their tech support is giving me the run around. It’s been 4 days now with zero help from them. When I try to unlink the switch it unlinks both. If I try to relink the ps5, it links both. If it would let me unlink the switch and link the ps5 without automatically linking the switch with it, I think it would work.
