I mean, I think this years version of Diamond Dynasty is a disgrace but the fact that people would go to an EA game or CoD as their escape is exactly why have headed this way.

I play offline, and still haven't finished the Retro AS Program!! That says it all.
I'm off Fridays, but instead of running to the attributes update, and this game, I spent the day manually putting CD's into my new phone music player. I deleted one, thinking my music would remain. Not! Only a few in internal storage remained! I do not recommend that at all, as its very time consuming. I then played NHL instead. Saturday,I played F1 first, then 2 9-inning games for the RAS pitching missions. After that, I had my fill.
The fire has left. The thrill is gone. I've heard of off years, but this is one for the ages. All we get now are Season Awards programs. Bring back Kaiju at this point. Implement Cricket somehow, lol. We need content!! -

@Teak2112_MLBTS ive played this game since 06 ,i think i still have hard copies stored away to prove it from before PS started retro'ing past versions on new consoles as long as you bought from them , i owe this game nothing
COD is not without its own faults , BUT ITS STILL FUN, its been raining all day and i sat here watching Parks and recreation reruns instead of playing this game , i started playing an hour ago and im already disgusted , 3 perfect perfect cracks of the bat that die before the warning tracks , palmero a 95 boosted to a 97 cant get a ball out of the infield , harper good timed swings twice in 3 pitches yet whiffs all 3 for a 3 pitch out , AT LEAST HALF his at bats
i didnt spend $100 bucks to get aggravated , i did so to have fun , this , is not that , im sitting here with a paused screen because i hit a fly ball , my runner on first stops mid way to second , it was clear it was going to fall so i send him so he doesnt get thrown out at second , for some reason he rounds second on goes to 3rd where the 3rd baseman is sitting there waiting on him
im still hitting square pitch and its still throwing X every now and again , it will do so a couple pitches , i know this because i stop , reset the pitcher , very deliberately hit square and the X pitch loads again
i have a mini season seasons that i played up to 22 games and refuse to go in again im sick of the server kicking me , i lose my stats and i get nut slapped with a loss , a true waste of time , before someone says its my connection , it is not , i can complete a entire US map of conquest 3 or 4 times and never have it happen , i had 5 by game 22 in mini seasons

i truley believe i could look past a lot of the issues that we have with the game , IF IT WAS FUN like it use to be , its been years since i had a player hit the cycle , 3 or 4 HR's in a game , 2 triples in the game
TATIS is suppose to be a base stealer , he gets thrown out almost every time i send him , if he takes so much as a half a step more than a normal lead hes caught off guard , good times

I'd never go that far without knowing all of the details of who is actually responsible. In the end the live team is simply employees who have supervisors, who have their own bosses. If the directives come from above then their hands may be tied.
Both Cbrev and Ashley were MLB The Show Streamers before they joined SDS and became part of the live team. I find it hard to believe that they both suddenly have fallen so out of touch with the community that they don't see the issues. But, even if they hate the direction, as employees they may not have any real influence in the final decisions.

And in the end SDS itself is an employee of Sony.
There is a story we don't know, that's for sure.

Actually went back to playing MLBtheShow21 for a while and created a new account from scratch. There actually seem to be quite a few peope playing it, as the market is still fairly active. Amazing that for an offline player (outside of mini seasons) the game and especially the content were just SO much better back in '21, from tons of great player programs, a team affinity with actual valuable players, monthly awards that mattered daily moments, great collections and collection rewards, the innings model with power creep (over now, but you can see how good it was in the forever program), evolution programs that were super cool, etc. If SDS just repeated the MLBthe Show 21 model with the new game, it would be incredible. Ain't rocket science.

2021 is too moment heavy and no mini seasons so 2023 for me.
I wish I could see what the innings looked like as they were happening, the 11th inning is extremely weak compared to 2023's forever season and forever wonders.
I cant do 2022, between dropping TA and the cringey packs like 'juicy' and 'always intense'...no thanks. They did seem to have cool TA themes that year though

This is why so many of us loved 21 and have been so vocal in our dislike of 24 and the direction the game is headed in general.

Speaks volumes to the state the game is currently in when people are switching TO CoD...although that being said I'm kinda amped for BO6

This year is the most lack luster version of this game I’ve ever played- this is absolutely horrible
