Just checked so far this season the Cardinals have earned
2 Season Award cards
5 Topps now cards (not counting flashback Edman)6 out of the 7 have been in Packs, with only 3rd string catcher Pedro Pages showing up in the program.
Stl fans have certainly gotten the brown smelly end of the stick so far.

I have not even mentioned how two of our most revered in-game legends (Brock and Gibson) have been added as collection rewards at a level most of us won't reach, making them essentially unobtainable.

No, the entire playerbase has, especially those who prefer offline, have.
We have gotten 8 total other program cards this season plus an 87 Judge.
Compare that to 3 alter ego packs, fresh start 2 pack, and london series pack.Never has a game fallen so fast in just one year.

That Graveman conquest last season along with the legends mini season gave me so much false hope.

'23 wasn't great either. There were a lot more programs but the bulk of those were pxp slogs.
I do, however, have a newfound respect for quality AND quantity. '23 definitely had the quantity aspect covered and I appreciate that more now than I did last year.
'24 has neither.

Back in 2020, SDS dropped a program called "The All-Timers" program, consisted of playing in moments/games with your DD team to earn rewards each week the included the like of 99 Babe Ruth, 99 Tom Seaver and more (if I remember correctly). To this day, its probably my favorite offline program they ever did, and they never did it again. There was also a long program in 2019 called "Signature teams" that occurred over a 4 week period that was also playing moments/game with your DD team that featuured Jason Kendall, Adrian Gonzalez, and culminated with 99 Vlad Sr. Never did it again. It was awesome and so much fun.
I wish they'd bring something like these back. If you want to check it out a little, here is a very young GomesDaLegend taking about iAll Timers a little, Check out all of the other individual player programs they used to have on the screen. I so miss that.

As someone who doesnt care about god squads and prefers offline, 23 was great. I always had new things to play with and things to work towards offline. I get why some people did not like it, and I think the big problem was the collection rewards. If not for the collection rewards people could have better ignored the content they didnt want to do.
But I agree with your thoughts on quantity and quality. They should have kept the quantity but improved the quality. Instead they did neither.

@Dolenz64_XBL I would actually prefer players from my team in the packs simply because those are the better cards. I get where you are coming from, but I’d rather them be better than free. I am stub rich though.

I mean, I think this years version of Diamond Dynasty is a disgrace but the fact that people would go to an EA game or CoD as their escape is exactly why have headed this way.

I play offline, and still haven't finished the Retro AS Program!! That says it all.
I'm off Fridays, but instead of running to the attributes update, and this game, I spent the day manually putting CD's into my new phone music player. I deleted one, thinking my music would remain. Not! Only a few in internal storage remained! I do not recommend that at all, as its very time consuming. I then played NHL instead. Saturday,I played F1 first, then 2 9-inning games for the RAS pitching missions. After that, I had my fill.
The fire has left. The thrill is gone. I've heard of off years, but this is one for the ages. All we get now are Season Awards programs. Bring back Kaiju at this point. Implement Cricket somehow, lol. We need content!! -
