Mlb 24 = most boring game that came out in 2024?

I think you're very right about the competition. Shooters, RPGs, even racing games are much better when there are other competing games on the market. It's not really the case with baseball, football, or soccer. They are all monopolized genres for the most part. I'm sure the MLB has to basically give its stamp of approval on any development of baseball games with their name on it and developers don't want to spend the money to try and make that happen.
Unfortunately, it is what is with SDS.Lately I've only found enjoyment in the game playing casual with a tiny bit of S2 ranked here an there. Idk about boring but definitely unpolished and repetitive. I don't do "the grind". I just play it however I want to play it. It sucks not getting many rewards and having such a bad experience in ranked but, with what I have collected thanks to S1 the game is fine played in casual. Everything thing else is pretty boring or just horrible gameplay.

@Tylerslikewhoa_XBL Non baseball fan looking for attention? I've been watching 162 Reds games and others for 20 years. I've been playing the show since 06. I have 800+ hours on ever show game. I mention in my topic we've had the same 3 game modes for 8 game straight. And I've made WS in each of them only so many times i care to do that. I've built a small twitch community around mlb the show and I want to to grow, but sds released a bad game.

Nice to know that the OP has played the hundreds, if not thousands of of games that have been released this year since they definitively state that this one is the most boring.
BTW, Why bring up MLB The Show 10? There was not even Diamond Dynasty in that version. What kept you engaged back then?

You not only oversimplified what was a well understood message of the game's current state but you also allowed his statement about 15+ years of game development that hasn't made much progress to go over your head. I used to think you were a well intentioned and logical commentator on the forums but clearly you're not. The game is boring and it hasn't made any progress since MLB The Show 2010.

@Weshill627_PSN They refuse to acknowledge the criticism of the game being made and instead go STRAIGHT to mockery and spite. I didn't even call the game boring and yet I COMPLETELY understand how someone can feel like it is very boring. It's a grind and the defenders of the game act as if the grind is fun or not boring. It's fine if you don't find it boring and I am happy if you don't but to act as if it's impossible to find the "grind" boring is ignorant and dishonest.

I'll never understand the card art complaint. Does it really matter? Unless you're sitting in collections staring at the cards all day, it has nothing to do with gameplay at all.
