Bench Players
-
I have speed players and a catcher. I combine my speed players so their primary and secondary positions cover the whole field (except for catcher) and I hit good with them.
-
I usually have a backup catcher, and 1 righty, 1 lefty, and 1 switch hitter I hit well with, regardless of fielding attributes. I also make sure there's at least 1 INF and 1 OF
-
I just made modifications to mine but I use at least one hitter with over 100 power on both L and R with Pinch Hitter as a quirk.
I now have Jorge Posada so I use Keibert Ruiz if I ever needed to swap the catcher for speed.
I use two speed players with good bunt to swap out a slower player in the last couple innings. To be specific I use
Jesse Winker
Keibert Ruiz
Ozzie Smith
Richie AshburnRichie and Ozzie get buffed from Jeter Captain of Captains

I always get a speed guy and a back up catcher, then the best Switch hitter i have not in my line up, then the best utility guy
Right now its Buxton, B. Roberts, G. Carter, J. Profar. -
Right now...4 Lefties to add to my Kershaw Boost.
If I really care...what @Uch-I86I_XBL Said. Or a Speedster. A Switch Hitter. A Lefty with Defensive availability. A Righty with the opposite Defensive availability as the Lefty.
More often than not it's the next 4 best guys on whatever Theme Team I'm using.
-
Yeah, sadly the move to DH killed my care for bench. So mostly as a way to get my captain boost.
If I need steals for mission, I will throw some speed guys and a 2nd catcher if I need to pinch run for him.
-
I miss the no DH option also. Lots more strategy involved.
My bench I always have a speed guy, an all purpose infielder, an all purpose outfielder, and a catcher. -
Am I the only one that likes to keep either Honus Wagner or Martín Dihigo on my bench?
-
I use guys that can play multiple positions with decent speed and at least one switch hitter.
-
I make sure the bench guys don't have a position of guys in the lineup with less than 70 speed so I don't get those pinch runner prompts.
If I have a captain- the bench guys are towards the captain boost. -
I have a speed guy, a back up catcher an outfielder and a guy that can play all the infield positions except catcher but the back up outfielder and backup infielder also has to have speed
-
I usually have a lefty power, righty power, a switch hitting speed/contact player and a catcher.
Sometimes I’ll swap out the switch hitter/speed and catcher for a pure speed player and switch hitter. -
