I agree and I'm glad he said what he said. These issues are real and when you come here to voice your frustrations you get gaslit and mocked into oblivion. I'm happy Kyle made this video and I hope it helps this toxic community understand it's not just skill and bad play. It's frustrating to run into these issues. Sometimes the player is bad yes but these gameplay issues are REAL! -

The game is not dying and isn't dead. Stop listening to morons. The only people the game is dead to are the 0.5% of the player base at the elite levels. The rest of us? Not dead.
I find games at an instantaneous rate in ranked, coop, and events. That's not a dead game so stop parroting what creators say and try having a brain for yourself.
NOW, I fully expect numbers to dwindle if changes aren't made for S2 but at no point has the game been dead or dying during S1.

The vast majority of posts and replies here are negative. The same goes for Reddit and social media. You basing the health of the game on your ability to matchup quickly is as ignorant as thinking every person playing the game hates it.

@aaronjw76 but the game is dying. July 16th, could very easily be the Dday of MLB the Show 24. Players are going to play, meaning they are going to not be as engaged in S2 of MLBTS. Say what you want about EA, Sports Gamers loved College Football. Loved it...after a 10 year+ absence, players are going to flock back regardless of EA. If the developmental team of NCAA 25, can listen to players unlike Madden and offer a fantastic Ultimate Team experience along with a great dynasty experience, people will not come back for Season 3.
Also the reason why finding a game is instantaneous because they took away the ratings finder. At the end of your next RS game go look at the ratings and realize, that person was outside my Ratings bar.
Can the '24 game be saved. of course. People love baseball, i love playing MLB the show. but this change this year in particular with the big revamp of NCAA Football was a mistake. One they are ignoring.

Everyone I play in ranked and coop are within my rating range. If they stopped doing this then the elite players wouldn't be complaining the game is dead because it takes THEM 30 mins to find games.

Previously, the streamers would put up tier lists gradually, review cards throughout the year, and would not have to spend any stubs other than their Day 1 purchase the LS collection. They would then grind (or have others grind for them) the numerous cards that are released throughout the year, and test them for their streaming content. With SDS implementing Seasons/Sets with expiring cards, along with putting other cards behind a paywall (ie packs), this has made the streamer's content model more challenging. -
