First year. Help me understand S1 players? Why do I see them on market as well?

So I had almost all my players become S1, collected and non sellable. Not sure how it happened. How does this season thing actually work?

Also I go into the market. Almost all the players are S1. So if I buy them. They will automatically go into my club and become S1 and not sellable?? Mind boggling if true. Why buy if so. Need some explanation on this as well.

Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Some of them are rewards for head to head modes like Ranked or Battle Royal. Those rewards are sellable. The same cards gotten by other modes are not sellable. It is a bit confusing.

When you click on your cards to collect them, it makes them unsellable, if they were before.

Word of caution - if you exchange a card, it is removed from your inventory. I made that mistake my first year of DD when I exchanged a live series Mike Trout card.

If you buy a card in the market, it should be sellable (like if you want to flip it - buy low, sell high). I saw a post where someone said they bought a card in the market and then it was unsellable - they were going to flip it. I just glanced at their post - so maybe they will see this one and comment. Right now, in the market you will see Core and Season 1 cards (S1). They will remain Core or S1 after you buy them. Core cards can be used in all modes and in all seasons. As you've surmised, S1 cards can be used in S1 and in some game modes in S2 and beyond.

Cards are released during a season. This year, there are four seasons (not the band). We are currently in season 1 for a few more days. Once we enter season two, there will be all new cards that will be issued for that specific season. The season 1 cards will not be able to be used in Ranked Seasons (a game mode) but will be available to use in a few other modes - see the blog on the main page (under news) for exactly where the S1 cards can be used during S2. Once we enter Season 4 all the cards will be usable in all modes, unless they run an event or something that requires specific cards and a season is ruled out - which I doubt they will do.

    I hope that helps.

Players don't "become" S1 players. They're either S1,S2,etc or CORE. They stay that way. Always. Forever. (Forever being "until they turn the servers off).

Most (but not all) cards you earn via programs are always unsellable. Cards will be notated before earning which are and which aren't.

However, once you collect them, they become unsellable. That's what collecting means.
