8 pitches and out

I just played a ranked and fouled off like 15 pitches then groundedout lol

Guy fouled off 7 pitches in the first at bat of the game, smashed a perfect homerun. I dashboarded so fast. Stupid foul balls. I hate this.
I fouled off alot of pitches and then hit a homer. Sometimes pitchers leave one that's hittable.
Stop dashboarding. That's extremely poor sportsmanship.
-
Well now SDS has proof that you dashboarded so they can hopefully ban you for being a griefing pos.
-
@Jacky-Chan1 Dashboarding is encouraged. Who tf wants to sit through [censored] beating after [censored] beating? Quit ANYTIME you don't want to and find a better matchup. This game has horrible matchmaking and dog [censored] mechanics and gameplay. If they wanna quit and lose the rank then by all means. If SDS penalized people for quitting games they would have no one to play this game.
Stop crying. -
@Teak2112 The Show would cease to exist is they banned people for leaving games. There's too many freeze offs and [censored] matchmaking to punish people for leaving games. Cry harder

Dashboarding and quitting a game are 2 entirely different things.

@nflman2033 How?
-
My arsehole starts to pucker when pitching to someone who hits 5 fouls in an AB. I know what's coming. Its not a matter of if but when lol

You hit a HR you let it land and then you go through the start menu and quit the game fine no problem, I'll take my W and move on.
You dashboard the game while the HR ball is in the air, I don't get credit for the HR because you are upset. That is terrible sportsmanship.
-
@nflman2033 how is that the other players fault? Blame SDS.

Baseball is a game of patience and strategy and foul balls are part of it. If you want a game where you constantly need instantaneous gratification try another game.

Baseball is actually a game of failure. The best players in the world only bat 300.
Most games I play in the 700-900 rating include lineups where every hitter sports a batting average of 400-550.
Clearly something has gone wrong and it doesn't take a genius to see what.

@FRUITYPEBBLETS Would the players in the video game even play if they could only hit around a .300 average? Probably not because they would not have the patience to play. This is an instant gratification world and I don't feel the game would be played if people were forced to only hit close to 300 and didn't hit home runs every other at bat. There has to be a middle ground between being a simulation and a video game. That being said, I enjoy playing the game and I would guess I average just over the Mendoza line for the most part, lol.

And almost everyone agrees that middle ground should include striking out at balls in the dirt or 2 feet inside from time to time instead of fouling it off 10 times in a row

Not disagreeing with that at all. I am saying that there is a lot if impatience by players in this game and that takes away some of the beauty of the game itself. I'm the guy that you better put me down by 10 or you are going 9 innings.
