Lack of Developers in the Forum

With all the complaints going around the forums, whether it be hitting, pitching, fielding, etc., you never see a single community manager, moderator, or developer commenting on any thread. Even if it's a simple question that a developer could answer, you never see one.
I just don't understand how on their own community forums, we are all left to complain within ourselves. I understand chances are they look at the forum and certain threads, but i remember last year and especially in 18, you would see threads with developers commenting all the time, even if it was mostly Victor or Colin. Is the toxicity that drove them away? Toxicity of complaints would not be such a problem if they actually were transparent enough to tell us things outside of twitter.
Thoughts?Your observative...I think it's because we continue to play the game still and money is rolling in. I dont blame them.
If someone is in a relationship and feels the relationship is not functioning to their liking but still shows up....texts their partner...and still does 100% of their duties in the relationship....why would other partner change???If I do what THEY want the money comes in..if I continue in MY ways money still comes in ...so I'm gonna do it like Frankie.....My way

If I was a developer I would do my job ....then keep my distance from this community =c)

This. When they talk, they get labeled liars, dishonest, devious, shady, conniving. They can’t win. That’s why you usually hear them admit to stuff about the previous game during pre-release streams, because admitting that this or that can’t be fixed without a huge code re-writing that is only possible during the dev cycle will only incite riots. People will scream and yell, swear this game off, buy it again next March and cry some more. Who’s to blame then?
Welcome to customer service...being in business...selling a product etc...

Thoughts?Well, most of the complaints are garbage...it would potentially be good to have a moderator to remove the garbage posts...but then there will be complaints about censorship or whatever, and it'll be the same thing with a different name.
Then, when they do post, people get pretty pissed at them, so the toxicity would go on. I've never had an issue getting response from them when I really need one, such as purchase issues or something, but if they're getting the 1000th email telling them that their game sucks when it clearly does not, then there's nothing they can really do. The player base needs to take responsibility and stop crying so much (obviously not everyone, but there are players who seem to get on every post to express their misguided disdain).

"The Devs should spend less time working on the game and more time browsing message boards" is one heck of a take!
Not even close to what I was insinuating.

I read almost everything.
I did that for a couple of years, I also got dragged into many arguments over petty semantics as a result. When I realised that this forum may be giving me a negative perception of the game, I decided that I wouldn’t visit TSN this year, I’d just play the game and ignore everything else. Then I came back to submit a bug report and here I am, reading almost everything again. I just can’t help myself, apparently.
I for one am glad you're back, was wondering where you were. Just don't let the negativity and trolling get to you.
Well thanks. I do try not to!

They are embarrassed by the game.

Dud,e that's cause the developers are looking and laughing at all the people complaining about the fielding being bad, which its totally fine....I've never seen an outfielder not play a ball properly. Or pitch speeds being too fast, which it should be a bit faster.
Dont you only play offline? Could be just a H2H issue ?

Colin, can you tell me why the spring training unis for the team are outdated? Small gripe but this should be fixable
-
This game is simply not fun online . I would love to hear reasons for the change in online. The timing window has gotten so small or something. I was basically playing 19 everyday online and now we roll into 20. I get the firsts weeks was too easy to hit - but why not keep the online settings from ‘19 into ‘20. Maybe the perfect/perfect mechanic screwed that up. Anyhoots. Agree, where is an explanation for this ‘not fun’ game?

Given how things are, probably best not to engage with this community.
Look at what happens on Twitter when they post about maintenance.

Collin -- That's great, you and others read almost everything, but we aren't interested in your literacy. We want communication.
Twitter resets the same server message almost everyday. We had a few threads about updates but those stopped too. We asked devs questions for weeks and weeks prior to launch on pressing issues and they were never addressed: Online Franchise and Sounds of the Show come to mind. Information on pressing issues is revealed through people purchasing, playing the game and finding out something has changed or is not longer in the game.
We want community managers who are willing to be upfront and honest with the community they serve. Not a development team that stays hush-hush on pressing issues because they do not want to negatively impact profits.
Honest and open dialogue is not always comfortable and its usually the right thing to do. Lean-in to the uncomfortable conversation; Be open and honest.
The game plays beautifully when it is firing on all cylinders. As someone who absolutely detest card collection games modes (they have ruined sports games), I tell people that DD is the best version of them all. I have pulled three buddies into the game, and they love it.
The shame is that the games issues are only further exacerbated due to a lack of communication from the team that put the game together.
Thank you for taking the time to sift through the threads. Now communicate with people that use them with a little more content then informing us that you can read.

resetting the servers to handle all the back-logged data (due to everything being online because everything connects to DD) is not maintenance. Further more, no one on the dev teams is telling us what the issue(s) is and what steps they are taking to address the specific issue(s).

Because they're not proactive with their communication and resolutions.
