SDS knows the power NCAA 25 will have in the sports gaming community, they know an 8 month profit or revenue is getting cut down, probably why we've had so much pack content. They know come july it's GG's.

@chucky97___ thing is who in there right mind would buy packs right now with 3 weeks left in this season? Man i really wish they would ditch this season/sets [censored]. Its not NCAA thats going to make me quit, its seasons.

People spend on micro transactions, don't kid yourself, some people will throw 100$ of a pay check on pay day. People spend.
-
@chucky97___ i guess.. crazy ppl will spend
-
The only reason they keep releasing all these packs is because some people are actually buying them, and so that trend won't stop as long as it's worthwhile for them to keep it up. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to stop people from spending their money on packs if that is what they choose to do

NCAA would make me quit but it's the structure this year that will have me doing it well before ncaa comes out
-
every year has had packs release like this,it's not new. it's the content that's lacking, were used to the content being a lot more and comparable rewards to the packs not lesser
-
I would say the reason is because Sony gaming fired 8% of its employees in February this year and they want to bring is as much revenue so they’re not next

I don’t have the numbers but there has not always been packs to this degree. Last year was significantly more than years before and I would bet so far this year has been at least triple as last year. TN/POTM is a perfect example of a weekly pack that has not existed in the past. But you are right the rate of programs to packs is the biggest issue.
-
@chucky97___ funny. I'm gonna pre order ncaa to spite sds. I'm gonna give ea so much money just to hopefully contribute to the downfall of the joke sds has become.
They will probably enjoy it. This whole year has convinced me they are a bunch of sweet baby subs.

17-19 most of potm was packs,17 you couldn't progress the program unless you bought the packs or players.and every year has had multiple specialty packs during the year, the difference - they appeared as program rewards and in CQ maps a couple weeks later.and the players in the packs were on par with the ones in the programs not greater than like this year.

I'd argue this is slightly different though. Pack release maybe similar (I disagree but I'll agree here), however all these cards will be useless outside of 4 cards come June. Last year you at least had more time with them and that wasn't an issue in prior releases.
Some would argue in the past you weren't using cards earned from May in June anyway so who cares. Difference is the power creep this year is start/stop/reset instead of using say a 95/96 in June vs the 92/93 from May.
Hey, hand up I complained about not having 99's earlier in the past too. I always thought it was dumb to have no 99's prior to August/September when baseball is for the boys of summer. That said the corrections that have been made still need to be tweaked as it's not there... yet.
I think some of the adjustments to the end of season 1 were directly impacted by the community, so I'm holding out hope that slight adjustments will continue for seasons 2 and 3. Definitely a step in the right direction.

@go4stros25 It's like they don't care. They to the bare minimum and push packs and reprinted cards. Almost like they are trying to get as much out of it as they can before it's all gone......

Yesterday I watched 3 different “streamers” buy every awards pack player so they could skip the grind for Gunner/Mookie. The majority are probably NOT doing this but enough to keep it profitable for SDS are. The bigger issue not being addressed is the incentive to make the grind boring and unbearable enough that more people just buy the cards to skip. This is an old free 2 play mmo/mobile game tactic. SDS has truly gone complete scum.

Super Mega Baseball 4 will be the end of Diamond Dynasty, finally another baseball game!
-
Lol y’all need to calm down it’s just Madden 23 with different jerseys. One week after release the hype of pre game school traditions will be gone.
-
@Cubsfan217 the higher ups saw high profits and couldn't connect the dots that it was cross Platform that did it, not the way the game was set up.
