The worst weekend for double XP?

Anyone else think this another sneaky middle finger from SDS? Anyone with families are not gonna sit in front of ‘The Show’ on Sunday. My wife would be pissed lol, plus, honestly, id rather celebrate Mothers day with fam than play this years game.

Yeah, they are completely out of touch with the player base and reality in general. They have made so many colossal mistakes this year even the staunch defenders of this game are acknowledging it in droves. Clearly something isn’t right with SDS or Sony in general and it’s showing on a daily basis.

Actually the opposite. They dropped 2XP the same weekend they dropped the 3rd TA program. A not insignificant portion of the player base will be grinding away at these to get the cards as fast as possible and as a result benefiting from 2XP without any extra effort. One of the few pro-consumer things they've done so far.

I guess the Mother’s Day portion of this skipped your mind. If it wasn’t for that, I would agree that double xp and ta drop makes sense. I know families are complicated but a lot of us will be spending extra time with the women in our lives, moms, gmas, sisters, wives, so for that portion this choice by SDS is garbage. If Mother’s Day means nothing to you then part of me feels sorry for you and anybody else in that same boat.

I think this is conspiracy theory talk. In no way do I think they did Double XP purposefully because it was Mothers Day weekend and would be inconvenient for many. Regardless of Mothers Day there will be more hours logged in the game overall this weekend than last weekend or next weekend because of the content drop. If they truly wanted to inconvenience players they would not put Double XP on a content drop weekend at all.

Don't be so dramatic. Mother's Day or not a significant portion of the Show base will be grinding this weekend because of the content drop. It's logically the best time to boost XP rewards because it's going to be a major double whammy towards the XP path. Just another thing to moan about.
If they pushed it to next weekend then "The Worst Weekend to Drop XP": Because everyone spent last weekend grinding the massive content drop with a ton of objectives to gain XP.

@TripleH-4481 My assumption is they aren't getting a good enough return from Gamepass & are turning to lootbox tactics to make up the difference. Now why they would do this since they are making more money now than they were just selling on PS is beyond me

Oh it’s definitely money driven. All I can say is that as soon as they as they expanded to Xbox and Switch things went sideways.

They should have released TA last weekend and done 2XP then. But since they did not do that, this is the best weekend to do it because it coincides with lengthy programs. If they released TA next weekend and did 2XP then there'd be like 20 days left to even use the cards we earn in TA and on the XP reward path.

The double xp is a joke in itself because it’s like normal xp from last year, maybe still slightly worse. Gatekeeping content is ridiculous since 99% of players don’t care how fast others gain xp in the game.
